These are THE BEST ink pens I've ever used. I have to police friends that borrow them to make sure I get it back because they also can't believe how great a pen they are. I will buy ONLY this pen, again and again.

My second favorite pen. But I can't afford my favorite pen. Mostly, I like the smooth resistance or the roller point and especially like the blue-black color of the ink. I would say this pen has a very good "hand", and is very comfortable to use.

Bought the BLX pens seeing the other reviewer's color palette. The actual color is vague, I thought it would be much darker.

High quality pens, I’ve been using them for a long time. Easy to view the ink level, the blue-black ink color is distinctive.

At first, I loved these pens. Taste in color is a subjective preference, but I really love the deep blue. After using these, almost all other blue pens seem too bright in color, and I was ready to make them my standard grading pens. The trouble, unfortunately, is that the ink supply is either very low or dries out as you use them. I'm lucky if I can grade a single paper without running out of ink, and I've gone through at least half a dozen in two days. For what they cost -- usually more than two bucks per pen in a box of 12 -- I have to get more than that out of them. It's a shame.UPDATE: I gave in and tried another box. Just as bad as the last one, if not worse. Some pens leak ink, so that they write in medium or wide, rather than micro point. Others were better that way, but all of them dried up within a few pages of commenting on student papers. A box of 12 pens wasn't enough to grade 20 papers, and most of those papers have faint scrawls on them because the pens were failing. They still look like they have ink, so it's as if it's dried up inside the pen somehow. Lesson learned -- never again. Downgrading from two stars to one.

I love these pens! I am something of a pen snob, so I really do pay attention to what I use to write with in any situation, including notations, signing forms or anything else that requires the use of permanent ink. I have had some very expensive pens over the years and these work better than most of the others ever did. They write smoothly and the color choices are great. I like the fact that they are gel and the color is consistent right up to the end. I travel all the time with these pens and have never had an issue with them leaking or exploding! They also never get clumpy and they last pretty well. You can always check the ink levels too.I have a hard time writing with anything else, so that means I always have one or two in my purse to use when filling out forms, etc. The only negative comment I can make is that the clip on the top tends to break off after awhile, but since I don't really use that feature, it doesn't really bother me.

These are amazing pens. They blue/black ink really has grown on me, but I have noticed a peculiar quality of the ink. i have been using this brand of pen in several colors before ordering this so I know how the pen normally works. These specific pens (I dont know if it was just my box or the ink or the pens in general) tens to smear way more than the others than I have bought in store. If you are left handed, this might be something to consider. It takes the ink a little longer to dry than the traditional ink pens of this brand and model.EDIT: A whole year and a half later, and I'm still using these pens - I have one left! I changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars simply because the pen and ink flow are just beautiful for taking notes in class. I take a TON of notes, so I'm surprised by how long these have lasted. I'm very particular about my pens for some reason, and just can't get myself to use the cheap BIC pens. This is the closest thing to a perfect pen in my opinion!
