I recently got the Universal Car HUD GPS Speedometer, and I’m really impressed! It was super easy to set up, and the instructions were clear. It comes with a great suction mount that sticks firmly to my dashboard, and the wires were long enough to place it exactly where I wanted without any hassle. The speed display is very accurate—I compared it with my car’s speedometer, and it’s spot on. It’s also small and bright, which makes it easy to read both during the day and at night without being distracting. This is exactly what I needed for safer, hands-free driving. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-install speedometer!

I was pretty excited to get this speedometer because it does not require a cell phone, bluetooth or anything. Just power. A simple 5V usb port. My 31 year saturn - has a USB port on it's stereo that I installed 12 years ago, so there I have power, not to mention cigarette lighter usb adapters.Anyway, my first morning trying to use this, the suction cup wouldn't stay stuck to my wind shield, so I drove to work with it in my passenger seat.On the way home I don't know how it happened but it got set in the KmH mode, and I didn't take the instruction manual with me so - there's that...When I got home I got the instruction sheet and figured it out.The suction cup worked fine on day 2.Now the part that didn't work great was the unit didn't stay "locked" into place - so if I tweaked the power cord the display went cockeyed.. so that's my gripe about it.Here are all the great things - The display is really bright - the auto brightness is responsive and works well to my liking.Once I read the instruction sheet it was easy to figure out.it acquires GPS quickly once powered on.It's very lightweight.I do wish the suction cup was one of those that had adhesive coated on it.I also to wish the back of the display plastic tab had a little "locking" tab where it could "lock" into the receiving portion of the holder.I can overlook all these minor annoyances because the gizmo itself works so well.I call this worth the price of admission, but the annoyances make it not a 5 star.

Seems to read pretty accurate. The main problem is the directions aren’t clear. You have to play with it for 15 minutes to get it over to MPH. Also the directions are in super little print.

I had high hopes for this GPS-based speedometer. When I was trying to attach the GPS-speedometer unit to the suction cup base, I was having difficulties getting the ball of the ball-to-T adapter to fit well. I had to use a bit of force and ended up breaking the ball-to-T adapter, eliminating the only way of mounting this unit. I tried to glue the pieces back together, but they didn't hold. And, sadly, because the USB-C connector is on the back of the GPS-speedometer unit, one cannot simply Velcro the GPS speedometer to a vertical section of the dash. I ended up throwing this away rather than continuing to fiddle.During the short time I had it, I also found the user interface to be cumbersome. There's no way somebody could figure out the various menu settings without having the manual immediately on hand. The menu options are given numbers, not labels. If it's going to be this difficult, the manufacturer should put a QR code on the back of the unit so somebody can look up instructions "on the fly".I did like the way the display looked. Clean and uncluttered. However, the manufacturer needs to get a more precise/robust mounting system, better user interface, and better instructions.

First thing I noticed was that the mount that fits in the back of this device and the device itself is badly manufactured. The mount does not stay in the back of the device if you attempt to adjust the position. The mount adjustment knob is so tight that I could not move it with my fingers. I had to use a tool to get it loose. Quality control seems very poor for this device.

This works, its generally useful, but has problems. It reads 65MPH at 60MPH actual as confirmed by phone GPS and commercial vehicle speedometer and measured mile which all agree. The part of the manual dealing with calibration makes no sense at all. Was unable to get it reading accurately. The user interface is difficult because it is 100% 7-segment numeric. There are no text labels for the settings, so there is no hope of ever reconfiguring this thing if you lose the manual. The display is bright, but limited and has a bubbly coating that looks like a removable film. It is not removable. The bubbles are permanent. But they are hard to see when it is on.The plastic mount is pretty badly made, but works. It comes with an adhesive strip which you can use instead. It uses micro USB. Nothing should be using microUSB anymore. If you drive by some trees, the displayed speed will jump around erratically even though your actual speed is unchanged. It generally displays lower but I've seen it swing up to 15mph. I believe this is due to a programming error in the device firmware. If a single or small number of attempted location fixes fail, it should not affect the displayed speed. I believe that rather than throw out the bad fixes, the devices is improperly integrating 0s into the speed calculation.
