I use this to push the bead down on a tire and then gain access to the tire pressure sensor. By lifting my car up using my pneumatic lift and then sandwiching this between the underside of my car and the ground, I can expand it and pop the bead. Of course I need to lift the car sufficiently to have the space for both. Formerly, I would lower the car onto a block of wood sitting on the bead, but this is so much easier and less questionable regarding safety since my car is up on numerous jack stands (I always use at least two on each side for safety - one holding the car, and one as a back up). I only do that if I am going under the car - not if I am doing simple service on the tires, but in this case, I do two together since I am putting pressure on the underside and then having that pressure release rapidly, increasing the weight on the jack stand suddenly when the bead breaks.I like that the top is flat so I can use many surfaces on the underside of the car, and the bottom is a good shape to go against the rim. Having it collapse to a rather low profile is very functional for me, being able to slide it in to a narrow clearance. Having the ratchet handle makes it easier to expand (and if I needed to lower a car, it would make that easier too), especially since I expand it from an angle where the nut is perpendicular to my position. I really like that the nut that needs to be rotated has two wings that stick out to enable me to easily expand it by hand and place it where I need too! I am very comfortably using this due to the sturdiness of it.

Nice jack at a fair price looks to be well made. It is a classic design, similar to the jack that came with my older Mercedes. This scissor jack is only about 3.5 inches high when retracted fully and goes up to 15.5 inches. That is a good range. Since it matches my Mercedes jack, it is handy when I need to use two jacks on something that is pretty low to the ground to begin with.Keep in mind the the pad on top is plastic, square, and more or less flat. I use jacks like this to level utility buildings or lift machines when I am working on them around the farm. (Always use a jack stand for safety, if you are going to get under a load.)The ratchet handle that is included works well. It is handy, because I can keep it with the jack and then I don't have to retrieve a socket wrench in addition to the jack to get started working. It works smoothly and looks like a good piece of kit.

This scissor jack amazingly arrived in just one day, and was well packaged and in good condition. There are a couple differences between the scissor jack and most I’ve used and I’ll focus on those.Firstly, the scissor jack has a rubber pad on the contact point permanently installed Which greatly aids in conformal, lifting and reduces the chances of damage or a possible slip off the Jack. The downside of this pad is that on very low vehicles, it may not allow this jack to get under vital frame components. That is the case with my modified track car. It is quite low to the ground and with this pad attached this scissor jack cannot lift the car from most of the positions I prefer to lift it from. That said, I really bought this jack to work on a four post lift from a sliding jack support, and under those conditions it works perfectly. I would think most people without race cars would not have the issue that I would have using this on the ground.The second difference is this scissor jack has a ratcheting arm. It is slower than the typical worley-gig connector to the screw. That said, once you encounter resistance, the ratchet is slightly easier to apply torque to the screw and have the scissor jack do its job. Other than that, it’s about as good as any scissor jack I’ve seen as far as quality and materials. Considering price, I think this scissor jack is a good buy, and I do certainly recommend it. If I encounter any premature, aging or mechanical issues, I will certainly update my review.

Picture indicates this has gloves, there were no gloves in the box. This should be corrected, falsely representing the product. The nut connection on the jack is not the greatest, the corners are slightly rounded. Hopefully in use this will not be an issue. Otherwise, product is well constructed and works as required.

I needed a new jack for my pop-up camper as the old one was, well, old! I like this because it is light weight, has a reversible handle, and finger levers for turning by hand for preliminary adjustment. It has a good footprint which should help with stability. I always use a jack stand in conjunction with any jack as a safety precaution and so should you.It's of good quality and price.
