Works good.the only thing is that I had to sand down a plastic bump that stuck out of the spout bc i couldn't get the screw on part to go over it. Just a little bit of work. Also the spout looks larger in the photo than in person.

Bought this spout to replace the previous one I bought that replaced the original spout (which was an EPA no vent style). The rubber seal at the base of this spout seals well but you must be careful when screwing back on after filling the gas can. It can easily come out of position on the base of the spout resulting in a leak when pouring gas from the can. I wish it came with a spare gasket in the event it requires replacement. Overall it's a good value in comparison with the price of a new 5 gal. gas can.

DO NOT PURCHASE THESE THEY WILL BREAK.Purchased two of these kits to replace spouts on my gas cans. They initially worked great. Within weeks, it started leaking as you poured. The cap was lose and needed tightening. Tightening the cap caused it to break. It seams the plastic and gasket is of poor quality and it breaks down quickly, drying up the gasket and making the plastic weak, leading to failure.

July 18, 2024 (60 day) Update: Catastrophic failure with one of the nozzles. I was filling my lawnmower with the nozzle, and the collar broke, allowing the nozzle to fall into the mower gas tank, covering me, the mower and the garage floor in at least a pint of gasoline before I could tip it back. I'm going to have to use up most of the mower gas so I can take it off and dump it out to retrieve the nozzle.The attached picture shows how the lip let loose, allowing gas to spill and the nozzle to be on its merry way! Return window has closed so here's to hoping the one was a fluke and the other 2 are solid.Original review:I had a few gas cans with the stupidest spouts. One was a tube-in-tube slider that always made a mess. Another had a push button to open the valve. I'd modified each of them previously, but it didn't completely solve the problems. I saw these and decided to chance it.The first one I worked on didn't have good thread engagement with the course threads and the finer threads didn't work at all. I actually used the original screw-on collar with the new nozzle. It was a much tighter fit and the gasket didn't seat well. I wound up using the old gasket and it works so far.The second one pretty easily worked as intended. The screw on and tethered nozzle caps are great.I have not installed the vents as I have not had a chance to fill up all my can to test. They do seem to seal well. I will install them if the flow is slower than I can stand.

material made of fairly good stuff sizes is the issue it doesn't fit everything
