I bought two of these in 2021, one for each bike. As of today, they have both failed in the same way. The top bolt will shear while you are riding it, dropping your saddle to the ground and sending your butt to fall towards the spinning rear wheel over the seatpost. Fortunately, both times I was on an ebike with a sturdy rear rack that both stopped my rear end from contacting the wheel and allowed me to use the rack as a temporary seat to get home.Had this happened on a bike with out a rack I could have been seriously injured. Absolutely do not recommend anyone use this product. I'm 6'0, 190 lbs, and a very experienced rider who switched from a fixie and road bikes to an ebike after hip surgery in 2021. The ebikes have odometers on them, and I don't ride them a ton. Each of these failed with less than 500 miles of use.Absolute garbage, and dangerous to boot. Avoid at all costs.

This seatpost does provide a little bit of suspension that can reduce vibration or take some sting out of larger bumps. The effect was noticable and I think this is a reasonably good choice for riders on mostly smooth roads who don't want to spend a lot of money on a seatpost. However, I am replacing the seatpost after less than a year because it is bent where it enters the bike frame. I am not a particularly heavy rider (165 lbs), but I do have long legs and require a higher saddle position. I did not have the seatpost overextend, but I do not think it is durable enough to be used with more than about 200 mm of extension, even though it is supposed to be rated for a maximum of 250 mm.

I just switched from a full-suspension bike to a road bike. Even on the streets, didn't realize what those shocks were doing for me! This post is a good compromise, it's got just enough squish to take the "hard" out of the hard tail!

Other reviewers we're right about it being very well made. Looks & feels high quality. I'm 265 lbs & it works perfect for me. I had to decrease the rebound to almost minimum to feel it. If you're much lighter this may not work for you but there are plenty of other ones for a similar price for lighter riders.

Adds a firm, adjustable, but noticeable suspension to your seat post. I love it, unfortunately I need one shorter than I bought and I don’t seem to find one in this brand. I’d buy it again if I needed to.

What I like is that I no longer notice those tar lines in the roads that are used to seal cracks in them. It used to be a definite distraction going over them with my road bike but not any more. With the Kalloy Uno seat post I can feel those cracks if I'm paying attention but it's at a level that is not bothersome or really even noticeable. It's a considerably heavier seat post than the factory ultra light aluminum seat post that I took off the bike, but it's not noticeable because I saved weight in other areas, mainly from my body by being able to ride further and eat smarter, but also from very light pedals, snake skin shoes, and titanium quick release skewers.Other than that, I really don't notice that it's working as I ride out of the saddle going over other bumps. Otherwise, I suppose that it's doing it's job because I don't notice it. So, I'm quite please with my purchase as it's well worth it to be able to comfortably ride roads that are not in the best shape.

This is pretty effective for taking the edge off of riding a hard tail bike. Not too difficult to install, and adjustable.

I'm a manufacturing engineer. I know well made. This is well made. Surprising for the price and origin -- Don't shy away because you fear that this is chinese junk. It isn't!
