I built a slatwall using big box store materials and used metal inserts. I am using to store workshop tools and probably would get the 4" variety if I did it again.First off, the good - for the price, these do the job nicely. They are sturdy and hold up my various drills, etc with no issue. So far the enamel is not chipped and once installed look good. You can bend them around and they hold up well.The bad - my first order was shipped and then shortly thereafter cancelled due to damaged packaging. I re-ordered again and when they arrived I could see why. These are just casually thrown into a cardboard box with no protection and the box was half shredded when it made it to my house (same state shipping). I haven't counted, but would not be surprised if some fell out somewhere along the way.As another review stated - these do not fit great. I had to forcibly bend them and wiggle them into place to even get them into the slat. However, once bent/fit you can't tell and they are able to be removed/re-added without huge hassle. I was nearly at the point of returning them when I finally got 1 in - and then repeated similar for the rest. So not a great experience, but was a 1x pain. I found first putting them upside down to do the bend and then flip to the right side seemed to work the best.If I had to buy again, I'd probably wish there was a variety pack of 3-6" lengths and possibly look at another option for a better fit - but if nothing beat the price, I would buy these again.
