I needed a holder for a beautiful painted egg that I purchased in Portugal ... had to spray paint it black however as its a very bland unpainted wood

I like the wood and the fact that I can stain or paint it any color I want, but the depth or width of the "hole" is a little small and the egg tends to roll off at the slightest touch. But it's the best I've found.

Needed them to display the wife's egg collection, and couldn't find them anywhere! Nicely turned wood, well polished and smooth. Could also be used to display a baseball or other round-bottomed objects, but perfect for eggs from chicken to goose sized.
