Clipper drive assemblies wear out every now and then just like the tires on your car wear out and require replacing. If you use a sharpening service, most will be happy to replace the drive assembly for you. Alternatively, you can just replace it yourself if you're reasonably handy. All you need is a small Phillips head screwdriver. Snap the back cover off your clipper and you'll see that there are just 2 small screws holding the drive assembly in.Don't worry if this replacement doesn't look exactly like your current assembly. There are lots of different styles of drive assemblies. In this picture is this replacement assembly on the left and a typical Andis assembly on the right. As long as it fits in your clipper it will work.
