I just wanted to try a tether to see if I like it. It turns out I do and my small above ground pool has taken in a new purpose! The metal DOES rust but if you want to use it for just one season to try, go for it. The belt is quite comfortable and it gives you a slight boost to boyancy. You can get a bit tangled in the bungees. My solution was to mount the strap higher slightly above the pool. That helps quite a lot.
