The item looks great. But, the warning light on the refrigerator blinks and it does not work.

It’s working and took 5 minutes to install and test out, on my 011 Dometic DM 2652 Refrigerator. A lot cheaper than original and works just fine. Will buy again if needed if it last a couple of years.

On our last trip our RV refrigerator stopped working on propane, suggesting an igniter problem. I did the YouTube research and couldn't find any visible cause for the lack of spark. The replacement part was fairly easy to install (the YouTube info explained the function of the multiple electrical connections, and access to the panel was easy.) It fixed the problem immediately. Much better than dragging our big rig to a repair place with unpredictable turn-around times, or paying $200 minimum (plus parts) for a mobile service call.

My 2008 Dometic refrigerator/freezer stopped working. There's only a few things that can go wrong. If the ammonia has leaked, just throw out the refrigerator and get a new one. It's not worth repairing with all the work involved. If, on the other hand, your refrigeration pipes are intact and the fridge still doesn't work, there are a few cheap things you can do to get it running again. 1)Check the heating rod. Easiest way if you don't have an ohmmeter is to pull the 2 power wires and wire it to a cheater cord. Plug it in....if it gets hot its fine. If not a new one is $20. 2) Check the thermistor. Resistance is proportional to temperature. Not? A new one is $13. 3)Control panel at top of fridge. Doesn't light up? No good way to test it. A new one is $12. 4) The control board. If you got this far and the fridge still doesn't work it's most likely the control board. No good way to test it or repair it. For $35 it's not worth wasting the time to even try. And it most cases this is what fails. $35 for this and takes about 20 minutes to swap out. So you can take the shotgun approach and just replace all these for less than $100...which is what I did. And don't think spending more will get you a better board. Do you think there are 20 factories in China making these things that cost 5 bucks to make? This one works fine and the quality is good. My fridge has better temperature stability than it ever did with the original board.

From the appearance of the photo tom me it looked like a complete trim/control piece to replace the original. It is a factory looking unit and appears to work correctly but it was not until it arrived that I wen back and took a very close look at the picture. The picture at first glance and assumption is that it is the total top rail, But go to the 2nd and 3rd pictures and you can see it is the control module only. I would suggest that somewhere it were to state in the description that this is the control module only not the entire trim piece with the module.but if you are not sure if the module in your refer is bad (I could not tell for all the messed up wires on the old panel) This is an easy, CHEAP, and quick way to repair your DOMETIC and it does appear to repair a wide range of models.Just a note as an old spark chaser before you buy ANY repair part for you unit check that 1) all the plugs are tight 2) there re no broken wires 3) there is 12 volt power , 120 volt AND propane in the tank. From what I have read the DOMETIC units WILL run fine on 120 volts but if you are going to only run 12 volts you have to have power at all points.Again a very good replacement part but not to well photographed for size
