I bought this fan because the description clearly states that it has a 10 year warranty. Great! My GE refrigerator eats these like candy. I have to replace them in just a few months to just under 2 years. They get fail from what I can tell, because the bearings inside corrode. They squeak, vibrate, rattle and sometimes just stop spinning. I thought this model may have some upgraded parts inside, but it's just cheap junk like the others I have bought. Now the fan is unavailable and the seller doesn't respond when you try to contact them for the warranty. It lasted about 1-1/2 years. Don't waste your time on this part or the seller.

I moved into an apt with a fridge already there... but the motor was running intermittent... ordered this and it immediately worked. Saved me.

I had previously critiqued this fan with two stars because at the time it "didn't work". My GE fridge was 4 years old and starting making VERY LOAD humming noises and determined I needed this replacement fan. After 20 minutes the new fan started making similar noises and continued to get much worse until after about 6 weeks I had to work on it more. I found some ice and moisture when I first changed the fan and found even more upon recent inspection. See photos where I found suspicious ice which certainly led to a lot of noise. The fan spins very fast and causes a little bit of vibration. The evaporator coil cover has some soft foam insulation where it meets the plenum going up the back of the fridge where cold air exits at the top. This foam is mostly to seal the air flow but being frozen it transmits any noise produced by vibration into the plenum structure which amplifies it. Think of the small buzz you make with your lips when blowing a trumpet and how loud it is when it comes out. This time, I went to considerable lengths to melt the ice and dry out the structures but even that effort was limited. You may be able to see in the two yellow circles in one photo where after 30 minutes there is still condensation indicating how cold the plastic is - probably from ice between the Styrofoam insulation on the other side and the plastic. Ditto for the plenum in the back. This was after using a hair dryer for a considerable length of time to warm it up and dry it out.If I get the noise again, I'll remove the foam insulation where I indicated so there does not become a "welded" connection to transmit the vibration/noise. I little loss of air flow there won't much matter as it all goes into the "warm" part of the fridge, anyway. -can always stuff a little cotton or paper towel into it, if needed.I've also changed from the default fridge temp setting of 37F to 39F. The air blowing through is the same cold temperature but it may allow for less quantity/frequency of it and slightly warmer temp in the fridge may help to reduce formation of ice. Conclusion is: while I initially suspected a problem with my NEW fan, I now believe the fan is fine. It's more a problem with the design of the fridge that was causing my continued noise. (As a test I hooked up the old fan and it was considerably noisier while spinning and not installed in the housing. I DID need to replace it.) Fridge is a GE model PYE22K++.

The part was a high quality exact replacement for the part that failed. Bravo to this vendor for helping us with access to reasonably priced parts for the DIY in all of us!

Have a GE French Door with bottom freezer PFE28KSKGSS and the fridge portion was too warm. Freezer and deli bin were fine. This seems to be a common problem. Replaced the temperature sensor first but in hindsight should have just ordered this evaporator fan. One website said the temperature sensor solved the 'fridge not cold' problem 80% of the time, but I think that is because it is the cheapest part to start with. There was no air flow at the top of the fridge where the temperature was the least controlled. There are a lot of videos on how to replace this fan. Tricky part is to find a video that matches your model. Overall it will be at the base of whatever structure is distributing the air. For my model I just needed a nut driver. The smaller one on one of those 7 in 1 screwdrivers did it for me. I over-researched which took hours, but the actual replacement time was about 20 minutes. Anyway, if your freezer works but the fridge is not keeping cold, and this fan fits your model, then go for it!

The fridge section of my GE profile French door refrigerator with bottom freezer suddenly became very warm while the freezer section works fine. Ordered the fan from this seller and have it at my door the next day. The replacement takes minimum effort with a 1/4 inch nut driver. There was quite a ice built-up and it is handy to have a steamer. The fridge returned to normal temperature with the new fan installed in a few hours.
