Woke up the other day and my 2010 volkswagen beetle was throwing the EPC light and a cruise control error. That’s a sure sign of a brake switch gone bad. Went to the local shop, none in stock. Asked at the garage, not paying that much. Looked on Amazon…did it myself.This is not a hard repair. You get above the brake pedal, unclip the harness, twist the switch to remove, and revere to get the new one in. Ten minutes if you’ve never done it before.The switch fit in perfectly, and my brake lights are now working. Going to get a spare to throw in the tool box in the trunk.

This was the best model break switch which is a 5 minute install, no worries of breaking the barrel like in the switch the was in the car. This switch is known to go bad and VW has gone through 5 generations I believe of this switch and this A version was the first one and the best one am not sure why they went from this to all the others then came back to this one.
