We have duplicated the original WW2 flat buckle hardware all postwar slings have the bump on the buckle. This would be the correct issue sling for your World War Two or Korea dated M1 Garand or your M1A. Exactly like the one used by U.S. Troops during WW2. Still a favorite among target shooters and at the National Matches at Camp Perry .Exactly like the originals, these will complete any WW2 Military Collection.

Good overall but slip on connection had no spring so it stayed spread instead of gripping.

The cotton sling itself is decent, the hardware is the bad part. Not only is it powder coated paint but it’s also flaking off everywhere. I found some rust on the clasp. My guess is these parts are just painted milsurp parts that sat in a box somewhere and then painted and sold for cheap. Honestly, what did I expect for 10 bucks. I’ve seen better quality from Chinese sweatshop repros than this. DO NOT BUY!

The product that was sent to me has gray-painted fittings, not black. Product has visible rust in spots. I am not impressed with this product at all.

Very cheap hardware; it works, but not nice or authentic. Not recommended unless you just want something to sling your weapon. Definitely not for any kind of competitive shooting or duty use. Would not hold up.

Hardware isn't as nicely finished as originals, though still not bad. Color is a little more khaki than olive drab, but not that far off faded originals I've seen. Seems sturdy enough, is dimensionally correct, and works as intended. Price is right, so if you're looking for a good budget sling, this will do the job.

The sling is good, but the spring steel clip is not shaped right to stay on the swivel. I just threw the clip away and use the sling.

Rated 1 star because Amazon won’t allow negative scores. This appears to be a badly reconditioned GI sling. All metal parts are covered with a very thick coat of battleship grey paint. It took 15 minutes and multiple tools to open the compression lock. It took 45 minutes to get the metal end tab through the strap. That required hammers, chisels and vise grips. I wish that I had spent the extra $8 for the real deal.
