Based on my experience with this 46t chainring, I wouldn't suggest it for anything other than 1x setups. I tried using this on 10 speed Tiagra and 11 speed Shimano 105. In both cases I found that the chainring struggled to pick up the chain on to the larger ring no matter how much I changed the derailleur position and tuning. It seems like the pins lack a sufficient amount of purchase on the chain. I've changed a load of chain rings and this is the first one I've not been able to tune. The chainring coating came off very quickly, and produced what I would say is an unusual amount of aluminum shards.I'll probably throw this in the parts bin and use it for a 1x setup one day.

Bought this chain ring to replace a Shimano Ultegra 50t on a cyclocross bike. It was less than half the price of a new Shimano Ultegra chain ring. I installed it and it works great and shifts perfectly. It is heavier than the Ultegra chain ring but it will last longer based on the material it’s made from. Great product and made in USA to boot!Update: I used this chainring on the Hincapie Merced Gran Fondo. The race was half gravel and half road. Well it had rained incredibly hard the week leading up to the race and needless to say, the gravel roads with lots of hills became mud.A big problem I saw with mechanicals during the race was thrown chains. This chainring performed flawlessly. When you stated good chain retention on your product; you were not kidding. I just ordered a 52 tooth chainring for my bike and will slowly upgrade all my chainrings on my numerous bikes to this brand. Thank you for making a great product!

I decided to upgrade my fixie from a 46t to a 52t and this fit the bill in price and the fact that is made in ‘murica with a very high quality milled 7075 Aluminum which is almost twice as strong as 6061 and lighter than the original steel chainring. I will be buying another one for my friends fixie. Recommended!
