While these are bidirectional in the sense that can be flipped either direction on the usb-c side, keep in mind that one side is limited to usb 2 while the other side is limited to usb 3.0. So, if whatever you are trying to connect to seems very slow flip the usb-c over and there is a good chance you will get better transfer rates. With that poor design choice and lack of labeling(instructions) cause this cable to just barely do its intended function, assuming you get lucky enough to pick the right orientation.
