I have had a Jaba for years, and I was happy with it. I decided to try this Newline because I liked the way it looked. Unfortunately I am not happy with it. The speaker is not high-quality and is not loud enough.

This was easy to set up, provides a good volume and individuals can hear me well without raising my voice on Teams calls or when using my soft phone. This has made working from home a breeze!

Sometimes, the mic seemed to work fine, but I did often get complaints that people on the other end could not hear well. Since it was inconsistent, I had to give up on these.

I have been working from home for over a decade and am easily on Teams conference calls for at least half the day, if not all day. I cannot stand wearing a headset for that amount of time, day in/day out, so my workhorse has been a Jabra Speak 510 MS USB speakerphone that I purchased 12 years ago. This version was certified by Microsoft (Teams was known as Lync back then) and I frequently receive positive comments on the high sound quality. I use it exclusively in wired mode because the Bluetooth version is very old - while it works, sometimes the quality suffers and/or there are connection issues. Also, using it wired means that I never need to worry about recharging the battery - nobody likes to be the one who starts sounding like crap during a meeting because their device's battery is dying. For many years, I used a Windows laptop but eventually moved to Mac after the Apple Silicon models were released. In wired mode, the Speak 510 has been flawless across both computers.This Newpie looked like a potential upgrade. I connected it to my Mac in wired mode and it showed up as NewPie 30 as expected. However, when I did a test call in Teams, the device disconnected and appeared to have reboot or reset itself. Now it is identified as "F5" when wired and "|" when in Bluetooth (see screen shots). After this happened, it did not work in Teams at all by wired connection, on the Mac or on my Windows laptop. I reached out to NewPie and they acknowledged that they were working on a bug-free fix for wired operation in the Mac environment. They sent a replacement unit and advised me to only use it with a Bluetooth connection on a Mac until they have a fix.The replacement does work on Bluetooth with the Mac and Windows laptop. Wired operation worked with the Windows laptop. However, in both modes the sound quality is not as clear or natural as my Jabra Speak 510 MS. It seems that the noise cancellation feature is very aggressive and cannot be turned off in the hardware as far as I can determine. The other annoyance that I noticed is occasionally the mute/unmute function stops working, which is a dealbreaker for me. Nobody likes to say "Sorry, I must have been talking on mute". If you are a heavy WFH Teams user, I would highly recommend spending the money for a Microsoft-certified device like the Jabra Speak 2 series. You won't regret it - it just works.I debated 2 or 3 stars for this product - it might be OK for the casual user or someone who uses Zoom, WebEx, or another communications platform. It just did not work for me.

Quando si ha una teleconferenze e si deve fare una riunione con più persone nella stanza dei può tenere acceso solo un computer. La configurazione giusta è un portatile collegato a un microfono omnidirezionale e speaker come questo newline e possibilmente una webcam e un proiettore.Ma per quando riguarda l'audio quasi newline è perfetto. Volume regolabile, collegabile con cavo o con spinotto USB (senza cavo) , microfono escludibile con un pulsante, 4 microfoni (per essere omnidirezionale). Provato con Windows e teams non ha ha dato alcun problema. Di fatto e come se congelare delle cuffie USBL'apparecchio è solido, compatto e ben confezionato. Solo una avvertenza: è compreso un cavo con il terminale UBB per il computer. Se avete bisogno di collegarlo via cavo a un computer con sole porte USB C dovete procurarvi un cavo usb C USB C oppure collegarlob con il Bluetooth. Consigliatissimo

Lo pedí específicamente para nuestra reunión presencial con participantes en línea. Fue una experiencia terrible para todos los que se unieron de forma remota, porque apenas podían escuchar lo que estaba sucediendo en la sala. Al final del día, el micrófono integrado de mi MacBook funcionó mucho mejor, y no tengo idea de qué hacer con este dispositivo.

This is a Bluetooth-based speakerphone. The 360° pickup is provided by 4 omnidirectional microphones The noise reduction and voice enhancement features are effective and deliver great sound quality.It is compatible with USB and Bluetooth with an integrated USB cable for easy connection.I found it worked well with Zoom and Teams and like the improvement over my laptop sound. For meetings like my writers group, where we are spread all over the room , it worked much better than the laptop sound due to the omnidirection microphone setup. .

For some reason Windows set up the Microphone quality to 1 channel 16000hz Tape Recorder Quality. There is no way how you can increase this. As a result the recorded voice is with very low quality, like you're speaking from a distance, or from a cave. Same happens when on a Teams meeting.There are no drivers on the Newline web site.I don't know if this is normal or not, but for such prize I would expect the device to be working properly.Returning back to Amazon.

Lo compré como una alternativa a los cascos para mantener reuniones en casa y tristemente, ya que tenía muchas ganas de probarlos, los tuve que devolver. La calidad del micrófono es muy baja, de hecho, en la configuración de windows la calidad queda en un canal de 16.000 Hz (tape recorder quality). Para poner una referencia, los cascos que tengo ahora de otra marca están en 48.000 Hz (DVD Quality). Esa diferencia de calidad hace que te oigan "lejano y hueco"Le pongo dos estrellas porque entiendo que ha sido más problema mío que del producto y además, bonito, fácil de instalar en cualquiera de sus modalidades y fácil de usar (aunque no es compatible con teams)
