For Celestron NextStar This option provides basic mount control from PC using For Celestron NexStar drivers. For those owners whose mount has a SynScan handcontroller this functionality is available “out of the box”. Prior to SynScan V3.01 the handcontroller had to be placed in a special "serial mode” for this to work. From SynScan V3.01 onwards the handcontroller is always in serial mode, and is always ready to talk with a serial connection. In this mode the SynScan unit provides the alignment and goto algorithms and must be configured with time, date and location. Some Planetarium may provide native support for Celestron drivers others may require the use of the for ASCOM platform and associated for ASCOM Nextstar drivers. Connections: The Synscan is connected to the mount in the usual way The PC is connected for Synscan via the serial to RJ-11 cable

Purtroppo non funziona con Windows 11 ARM con parralles desktop. Nonostante i driver diano il support per windows ARM, il cavo non viene visto e non posso quindi usarlo...

I’ve used this cable for 5 months now to connect my older Celestron AVX mount (through the bottom of hand controller) to my laptop while doing astrophotography and EAA. It has performed all functions perfectly with no lost connections. My original Celestron two piece cable was always disconnecting. I pack up after each session so it sees a lot of flexing - so far durability is good. A great addition to my setup with one less thing to cause trouble.2/2/2022 Update. After less than a year the rj9 connector plug has separated from the cable. I only set up about 4 times a month and expected the cable to last longer than that. I guess it was not that durable.
