I have always had a problem keeping the pool brush head attached to the extendable pool pole. The traditional plastic "spring" just did NOT work for very long, and my wife was not as attentive as I was to making sure the "spring" was in place and functioning (had to retrieve the brush head from the pool bottom too many times!). I tried a metal bolt and nut, but that soon rusted and they were not good for the pool chemical balance. The M6x50mm Slotted Pan Head Screws & M6 Hex Nut worked like a charm. They fit the existing holes in the pole and brush head just right. I used two nuts, backed against each other, to help ensure a much longer lasting "lock" of the brush to the pole. I am very happy with this alternative to the traditional plastic "spring"
