Hand Reamers

High Speed Steel Tool

High-speed steel tools has combination of hardness and toughness for wear resistance. Suitable for most general purpose applications.

Straight Flute

Straight flute tools allow chips to collect in the flutes when cutting. Well suited for most applications in shallow cuts. For reaming cylindrical shape holes.

Can be hand operated by use of wrenches. Great for light cut, repair work, or simply for enlarging holes. Always keep reamers clean, and used with machine oil for long service use.

Wide Applications

Used for handicraft processing, and bore machining. Suitable for accurate reaming in aluminum, cast iron, copper, plastic, wood, and other soft materials.

Cut and remove the thin layer metal on hole surface that has been processed, mainly to improve the precision of holes and reduce the surface roughness.Used for semi-finish machining and finish machining of holes.

Tips

Reamers are with one or more cutter teeth. Finished product can be smooth, intact and more beautiful. Reamers can be used to process holes in small cuts based on guiding function, such as: holes with diameter tolerance in ≤IT8; holes with requirements in surface roughness (≤Rz12 generally); holes with requirements in roundness tolerance; holes with requirements in cylindricity; stepped holes (different diameter holes on the same axis); series holes (diameter holes on the same axis) with requirements in high coaxality.

used to drill out cast iron car spindles (3/4 deep hole)didn't have the right drill bit to make a proper pilot holeso we had to ream from 9/16in holecutting fluid and a slow speed, but the reamer made it through without dying
