So I bought these threaded eyelets to make a replacement clutch pedal part for an old bmw E30.. I had to trim it, rethread for the application, then assemble it with the other pieces and weld just a small bulge at the end of the shaft to hold everything together as I didn't want to cut a groove for a "C" clip. I'm not a super master welder, but I know enough to be dangerous lol. I have a Miller sycrowave TIG welder and I used 309l stainless rods. Brand new tank of pure argon. Needless today the eyelet rod metal burned up into metal crunbly ash. The metal was clean, rods were clean tungsten was sharp and clean.. what saved my fabrication was using regular copper coated steel welding rods instead of the stainless ones.. so my original concern is did I f up or is the "stainless" alloy used to make these bolts just trash? For small non life threatening jobs, I'm sure these will be fine, but if your going to build something where if these break could kill or hurt someone, I'd definitely pass on these..

Broke off the poorly designed sling attachment point on my TH 870 Express Super Mag shotgun and did not know what to do to fix it. Found these and gave them ma try and they worked awesome. Bare in mind you will need metric nuts.
