Size: Model: M-28; Pitch Girth: 28 inch; Inner Girth: 682mm/27 inch; Top Width: 10mm; Thickness: 5.5mm; Angle: 40 degree. Produced according to the Japanese standard JIS K 6323.
Material: It is made of neoprene rubber for resistance to oils, water, and some solvents.
Function: To link two or more rotating shafts to transmit power in a drive system. Even load distribution on belt drives and good wear resistance.
Feature: The trapezoidal shape of the belts cross section wedges into the groove of a similarly shaped sheave or pulley to provide traction and alignment.
Applications: Used for drive systems in the automotive, agricultural, textile, printing, mining, and office equipment industries, ect.

Product Description

How to measure the length of the required belt:

Wrap the rope around the two pulleys
Make a mark
Place the marked rope on a flat surface and use a tape measure to measure the distance between the two marks, which is the inner circumference of the belt

To accurately measure the length of the v-belt, use a belt measuring tool or a soft ruler, not a steel ruler.
The width and thickness of the belt should also be measured to confirm the type of belt.

Installation:

First, loosen the tensioning device, then press the v-belt into the pulley groove by hand, and finally tighten it again.

Notice:

Pay attention to the wear of the belt groove of the v-belt pulley.
Check whether the centerline of the two pulley shafts is parallel, whether the corresponding pulley slots are aligned, and whether there is any skewing phenomenon.
When one v-belt is badly worn and cannot be used, replace all the v-belts at the same time, with the same type and equal length, so that each belt has the same tension.

Maintenance:

Regularly check the v-belt tension, after adjustment still can not meet the specified requirements, must be replaced with a new v-belt.
In use, the operating temperature of the v-belt should not exceed 140°F, do not apply belt grease casually.
Various types of v-belt, should not be coated with rosin or sticky substances, but also to prevent v-belt from oil, butter and gasoline, otherwise, it will corrode the v-belt, and shorten the service life.
V-belt should be stored at a relatively low temperature, with no direct sunlight and no oil and corrosive fumes place.

Although this belt is 10mm wide and 28" long, the rest of the story is utterly hopeless.Problem #1: The belt is 5mm thick. It is 2x wider than it is deep. As a result it doesn't ride properly in a pulley. It flips on it's side to slide down deeper into the groove.Problem #2: There is not fabric reinforcement - at least it's not visible. So it stretches excessively. You simply can't tighten it to the normal spec of 1/2" of deflection between pulleys. I easily get 1-1.5" of deflection without a lot of force. My adjustment is maxed out and the belt is still loose.Will be returning it. What a waste of time. And money.

These are really good replacements for my China-made drill press. Excellent quality and quite a bargain. They are definitely better quality than the ones that came from the factory. They also start well in the cold which is a problem with a lot of cheap belts that usually come on Imported industrial equipment. I would definitely buy these again
