Information
Taps can be divided into straight flute thread taps, spiral flute thread taps, spiral point thread taps and thread forming taps. They are also divided into hand taps and machine taps according to the usage. Hand taps are operated by tap wrenches. Machine taps are suggested to be used with tap collets with overload protection, and hand use or electric drills use is easy to cause breakage to the tap.

Special Coatings
The reddish-brown coating is on the surface of taps. It belongs to the normal processing process. Tips: The coating can not be wiped off, so it is not rusty. Suitable for general purpose threading, and fit a wide range of applications.
Hand Taps Styles
Taper Style Taps: Starts tapping threads square with the work pieces. Plug Style Taps: Generally used for drilling through holes. Bottom Style Taps: Generate threads on the bottom of the holes.

Wide Applications
Suitable for processing through holes or shallow blind holes. Can make new threads or rethread damaged or jammed threads in aluminum, mild steels, plastic, soft metal.
The hand tap is operated by the tap wrench handle. Use with tapping oil to get higher quality threads and more durable taps. Tapping oil is lubrication, cooling and anti-sticking. Please apply anti-rust oil for maintenance after use to prolong the service life.

Used these to chase some threads on my rusty car suspension. Cleaned up the bolt holes of rust and crud. I put a lot of torque on them and they didn't break. I purchased other sizes as well. Handy for my Subaru and Honda dirt bikes.

I haven't tried them yet, but they look fine. Needed them to tap damaged threads on my motorcycle floorboard. They should do the trick

The quality was extremely low. The Taps were bent making it very difficult to used. They also made oversize threads so that a bolt threaded into a hole made by these Taps would feel sloppy.

I needed this thread size tap, for a specific job. Probably not the best steel used, but for the few times in the future I will use it, it serves it's purpose.

I bought these to chase out some holes on a bike. Had to send it them back as they wouldn’t cut and started to get seized. They might work on new holes.
