We bought one of these to plug into a 30a power cord to reach our 2000 Keystone Montana 5th wheel from the power source on our property. The plug is correct (sort of), and it provides power as it should, but for some reason the plug is longer than the socket is deep, leaving about a half inch sticking out past the female trailer socket itself (see 2nd pic). This might (might!) not be a problem if the threaded female bushing that's suppose to hold the plug into the socket were 1/2" longer/deeper, but it's not, so I can't even get the first thread started. Even if it were longer, the plug is suppose to bottom out on the outer socket, not stick out the thickness of the attachment bushing. It seems that Valterra tried to cheap-out on the bushing and downsized it to unusable proportions. Either that or they have built it with the actual plug section (white part in pics) 1/2" too long. Whatever the reason, I don't feel comfortable having an electrical cord hanging off the fiver without the bushing doing it's job- fastening the plug in place and keeping rain and snow out of an electrical connection.

Very handy to plug in the trailer overnight to cool down the fridge and charge batteries before leaving on a trip. The trailer cord is big and heavy and too short to reach the house, not to mention there is no 30 amp plug at home. As long as you use a decent extension cord (#14 wire at least) and don't run electric heat or A/C 15 amps is plenty.

Amazing! Wow! Perfect! You can spend $100 on dog bones to adapt and adapt but we use this everyday on our Airstream to phenomonal results! I plan on buying more for our camping crew that haven't discovered it yet!
