Fiberglass fins or carbon fins can chip, crack or shatter when scraping the bottom. Findestructable fins take the hit without so much as a dent. Findestructable fins provide the perfect balance between performance and peace of mind.

Well made and fits perfectly. The shorter length is perfect for the shallow summer waters. I have not noticed any significant difference between this and the longer OEM fin.Good product, well made and works out of the box.

I have been using flexible center fins for many years and just discovered the VAMO touring/race fin. I really like the additional trail (front to back length of the blade). It should make a noticeable difference in straight line tracking

The product description says "Works on any SUP or surfboard with a standard 8.5" or 10.5" fin box" and *technically* that's not a lie, the product does in fact fit in the finbox and it's the size perfect for river use.I'm so glad it fit perfectly in my SereneLife Free Flow (after I chopped off a significant section front material) and that the product is the right depth and length for river use (after I sawed a large section of the fin off). I was a bit worried that I would get a fin that was the wrong fit.

Good fin, just not as flexible as it should be.

I purchased this fin to use with a Starboard airline inflatable SUP. Unfortunately, the base is a bit too long for the fin box on that SUP. Instead I've been using it with another board as a river fin for deeper rivers with less chance of hitting rocks. It's worked well for this purpose. I do wish it was a little more flexible, but then it probably wouldn't track as well as it does.

I have the slightly larger hard plastic version of this excellent fin design and bought the flex version to have for even lower water like we are having here in late summer. The straight tracking and lateral support is superb with a big plus for grass and weed shedding. One of the best fin designs i have used for sup flat watervriver paddling.

I live in Austin, TX and spend most of my time paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake. In late summer and fall, the weeds in the lake get really thick in places. On a paddle board with a standard dolphin fin, weeds get caught and create tons of drag, making it hard to paddle, slowing you down, and requiring constant removal. I decided to try this VAMO fin to see if it was low profile enough to shed weeds while still providing the same stability as my old standard fin.It works amazing! I can paddle through the thickest weeds and not only does the board glide with minimal resistance, but no weeds get caught on the fin. The low profile also makes it much easier to navigate shallow waters in Barton Creek and other places on the lake, so this is a huge bonus. Finally, I found that the stability of this fin is indistinguishable from my old one. I think it's about the same surface area, even though it lays flatter. It's just thicker and extends farther back at a sharper angle. But performance feels the same.Only one caveat worth mentioning. I checked to see if this fit on my inflatable paddle board and it DOES NOT. The pins are too narrow. Hope this review helps!
