Was surprised how well these worked!Purchased these specifically to stamp my trailer VIN into the frame rail because the OEM sticker was fading so badly.I was not expecting much for the low price, but these performed flawlessly and will continue to perform. Works as advertised. Works phenomenally well on wood but I was also able to Punch my Vin Number into a steel trailer. You will have to use a Large Sledge Hammer and you may have to tap it several times with lots of force on 1/4 inch angle but the Die never lost its edge on steel over the course of a day punching Vin numbers onto trailers.

Really useful for labeling wooden parts. I use this on my furniture projects when labeling doors, drawers, and various other parts as to not mix things up while finishing or painting. Leaves a decent, clear, deep mark.Quality control was lacking, got a couple duplicate letters, but returning for an exchange didn’t seem worth it since I needed it immediately.

I had to punch a VIN on a trailer I built. Did the job perfectly! These come coated with oil so be careful handling it (they are slippery and can be messy the first time). I found it easy to clamp some straight pieces of scrap wood on the surface to build a guide for the punches to line up correctly.It’s important to hold the punch PERPENDICULAR to the surface to get an even punch without risking it moving off course. Just a slight tap with a 16 oz hammer does the trick

These are okay, about the same as I have found anywhere, but a better price than most. I stamped about 30 steel shot puts with the set and only chipped one of the punches so far.

I used these for pottery and really liked them. Would work well for jewelry too, which is probably the intended purpose. Some of the letters are just slightly cut off, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I also didn't have problems with rusting, but other people sometimes put oil on them. Definitely high quality. Could probably use these for a lot of different things because they are so high quality. Good for crafting.

Nice inexpensive set. Light oil coating, to be expected. Used on aluminum and worked great. Seem to be pretty hard metal, hammer didnt make a mark on the upper end so I am thinking these would work fine on soft steel. Nice enough case, easy enough to make a wood rack if you want to spread out and organize. Satisfied!
