First one I've purchased in December I thought it was an exception, but this is the second used open package Vega-trem. It is also satin and not glossy finish so I paid an extra $20 for something I have never received. Funny fact the label on the box says glossy; makes you wonder how they butcher the returns and scavenge parts to rebuild the trems sold as new. I did see signs of abuse on the saddles and screws, but what made me return it is because the D saddle was replaced with a low E or A which are shorter, therefore this tremolo cannot be intonated properly - check the photo, D saddle should look like hi E or B and not the slab type that is similar to low E and A + checkout the wear and tear on the surface of the D saddle. Moreover, the saddles would not slide properly in the grooves so the intonation of the guitar took me 2 hours and was unsuccessful. Saddles look different probably from tremolos of different types and generations, notably the G saddle has a sharp perpendicular factory groove in the top which none of the others have. Finally, for a reason I don't understand saddles and strings are to high so I had to microtilt the neck for a 1.5-1.25 action. This is a US Deluxe Stratocaster, and never had to do that with other bridges. I also don't like to use microtilting as it may have a long term impact on the neck. Pedalzoo you should be ashamed of what you are doing, I paid full price on both these second hand used tremolos. These are not new products and they also cannot be used properly.

I ordered a silver one. First time they sent a gold one. No biggie since Amazon is so great with replacements. I received the correct one second time. However as I was installing it I realized that one of the height adjustment screw hole for the A string was stripped so the little screw would not grip the saddle and I could not adjust one side of the saddle up or down.Quite disappointing. Seems like a great product assuming you get the correct color and if QC was better. The install itself was pretty straight forward and if the trem wasn’t defective I’m sure it would have been a good addition to my strat.

Similar to other reviews, I received a repackaged open box indicated by broken factory seals. Replacement had the very same seals broken. After thorough inspection it is my opinion this was due to U.S. Customs screening Spanish imports!Install was a no brainer after watching various YouTube videos. My American Deluxe Strat HSS with LSR and locking tuners is on point, in tune and sonically pure to the quack!Worth the investment hands down.If your box comes with broken seals, shrink wrapped with no obvious damage no worries.Cheers!

Easy to use and easy to install. Check your measurements before you buy! Works best foe Fender Strats or copy!

I was looking for a upgrade/ replacement tremolo for my strat but I didn't want to alter the body, the vega trem was a perfect drop in replacement, it was a easy installation and set up. The Vega trem is well made with a very nice finish plus it has locking adjusters so when you are setting your intonation you can lock it down. I have had no problems with the guitar going out of tune when using the tremolo. This is a very well made tremolo, if you are considering updating your old antiquated fender tremolo you should definitely consider the Vega trem

DOES NOT FIT Sterling Axis AX3-FM. The string spacing is too wide for a guitar with a 1-5/8" (1.625", 41.28mm) nut width. The high e string slips off the neck.I really wanted to use and like this most expensive of all tremolos, but I guess Vega is better at marketing than they are at being honest in their press releases. If the box was opened by somebody besides me, I want to know about it far in advance, and I definitely don't expect to pay full price for it.

Upgraded my 91' Fender deluxe plus stratocaster. Added new EVH 250k pots, premium 5way switch, pickguard, knobs and choose to upgrade the tremelo last minute. After exhaustive research the Vega 2 point tremelo was for me. Easy install; amazing, stability!!! I used some graphene to lubricate my original roller nut. I have never setup a guitar before. After watching some YT videos, to my surprise the vega needed virtually little adjustment. So happy with the end result.

For those who want a perfect drop in replacement you will find it problematic. I have installed a few and it has been about 50/50. But the mods were very minor to get it function perfectly. This is an EXCELLENT trem upgrade IMO. Better than any Floyd on a Strat I have ever seen! If you have an issue installing maybe you shouldn't be the one to do it? I have seen Thousands of Strats over the years and to say that any after market replacement will fit all is just not accurate. Way to many variations to just assume. Take it to a qualified tech or luthier. Overall build quality of the Vegas I have installed has been very consistent. 9/10. The one mark I will give is the finishes are inconsistent. Glossy not so glossy..Nickel a little to glossy etc....But nothing a customer was that unhappy about. Esp. after using it for awhile. My 2 cents.

After a lot of research on this tremolo via reviews and videos... I finally decided to give this unit a try...It's a fairly easy install... but, it still helps to have some technical knowledge about guitar repair/service...I used the Vega-Trem to replace another upgrade replacement tremolo that uses a spring steel flex/pivot point. That older system was very stiff... and, I tried every possible action to resolve that stiffness... but, I could never remedy the problem. Until, I came across the Vega-Trem... I checked out a video review/how to install video... and, decided to give it a try. I ordered it... and, it arrived in a day... I was very impressed with that!!! The unit took about 45 minutes to install... including setting up the (height) action and intonation. I managed to get the lowest action on this particular guitar than I was ever able to achieve before. The Vega-Trem absolutely improved my guitar 100 %... It is so much more playable than it was before the Vega-Trem... The action on the strings is much more comfortable and easier on my fingers...Bending the strings and using the tremolo are much more pleasant to do... And, the sustain and resonance of this bridge is amazing!!! I have to say that this is one of the best tremolo units to come along in a long time... since the locking trems were first introduced... Tuning stability is also excellent with this tremolo... but, I would highly recommend installing some locking tuners to really help with tuning stability... and, locking tuners also makes string changes so much faster and easier...I highly recommend the Vega-Trem to anyone looking to replace their existing tremolo with a no modification required installation. This tremolo covers all manners of playing styles from gentle bends and pitch voicings... to an aggressive dive-bombing style of playing... You won't be sorry if you decide to try the Vega-Trem... I will be installing another one of these tremolos on another one of my other guitars that had the similar problem as the previous one... I think that the negative reviews on the Vega-Trem were done by inexperienced guitar tinkerers... or they were just impatient with the installation...Anyway, the Vega-Trem is just freaking awesome!!!!
