Flasher connects to the existing third brake light and generates a light flashing effect to alert those behind you when the brakes are activated to avoid rear-end collision. The number of flashes, rate, flashing effect, and other parameters are configurable by the user.

Once you get it figure out it works great. I had a 12v battery on my work bench and some clip wires to connect the circuit. Fairly easy to do when it's setting right in front of you. This is the second one I have ordered. The first one is still humming away after a couple years on my first vehicle.

Unit does not work at all like described. Tried all different ways described in the instructions and could not get it to work.

These appear to be well made. The programing was a little tedious but it was easy enough to do. I like the flexibility to setup the flasher exactly how I like it instead of being stuck with fixed settings like most flashers.

They work great but the programming can get hairy if not done correctly, their are others out there that don’t need programming.

Easy to solder inline and program for my LR Discovery 2. Be aware some countries make it illegal to have flashing lights if you aren’t an emergency vehicle. I installed them anyway.

After I bought an F150 a few years ago and had to pay a thousand dollars because it was pre-installed by the dealership, and they didn't remove it. I was thinking about what is the real cost of the device. This time, I bought another F150 from another dealership who doesn't force you to have this device installed. But I have to admit. The feature is really cool and can help you avoid a rear-ended collision. After a quick research on the internet about the product installed from the dealership (that is a brand that only sold to dealerships). I found this one with the same features:- Select the number of blinks before be steady (Normally 5)- Select the speed of the blinks.- Select how many seconds you want to wait before it blinks again. Otherwise, if the brake is pressed less than the X seconds selected, it will skip the blink and will go to steady. Those features are what you need to have the same benefits of the super expensive (thousand dollars) device installed by the dealership.Installation is the next evaluation. How hard is to install this device?Well, you just need to cut one wire and connect the red and yellow wires from this device on the two wires split. The other wire that is the ground (black), you can clamp on the existing ground or just connect to any metal of the car. I have used the clamp that comes with the device. That is it. It works like a charm. I decided to solder the wires instead of using the connector plugs that has come. But you can use the connectors that come if you have the right crimping tool. I have one of those cheap crimp tools, and it just didn't crimp correctly (You can pull the wire after crimping to check if it is crimped correctly)Otherwise, it is always easy to just get a solder iron and solder the wire and wrap with electrical tape.Excellent product and I'm buying more to install in my son's car.

This is the best flasher module you can install to replicate a Mercedes ABR function. Very easy to configure and install with all the required accessories.

Works great! It's highly configurable (beats down all the competition!), so you not only can choose exactly what you want, but also you can adjust to the regulations of the state where you live. It's tiny, so it was very easy to install it on a Miata NC hard top. Comes with all the cables you need to configure before installing in the car - of you want to do so (I did) instead of configuring after installed (you can change after installed too if you want), you just need a 9V battery if you want to do it. It's made in the USA, it's waterproof, and build quality looks great! Ah, it also come for connectors for the installation, but I used other ones since I already had them.

I purchased two of these to install on third brake light circuits for my wife's Mazda 5 minivan and my Mitsubishi Lancer. Upon receiving them, I noticed that the package is small, and was surprised that it came with 3 alligator clips cables, some bullet connectors and a vampire clip. The unit itself is quite small and has all three wires coming from just one side. It differs from other cheaper units that are non-programmable and have two wires on each side of the unit. I find those cheaper units to be more intuitive to connect, but the manual to connect this unit is clear enough (you have to visit their website).Installation difficulty will depend on your DYI experience and will vary from car to car. I recommend watching some videos on how to install these, to get a general idea. It's not that hard but some ability and experience is a plus. The whole install process took me 2-3 hours, but I actually spent more time figuring out how to remove the interior panels of the car and where I wanted to place the unit, than connecting the cables. For a professional looking install, you'll want to add some heat shrink tubing, cloth tape to cover the wires and VHB double sided tape. Also, both my cars show close to 24 volts on the third brake light circuit, but the unit works.
