I purchased these swabs for oiling the bores on bagpipes. They are serving the purpose nicely !

Used this to swab my instrument and it left lint everywhere. I rinsed it and left it to dry to see if that would help remove excess fuzz but the thing disintegrated. This is like putting cotton swabs on a metal rod.

Absolutely perfect for cleaning my 6 hole fife, and xaphoons. Cheap, effective and convenient--exactly what I wanted. I can see why the flute players might not be satisfied, but couldn't they see the picture?

Got this as a gift to a young flute student. This was a very easy swab for her to use and learn about keeping her flute clean.

My Son is able to keep his flute nice and clean without struggling w. the rag that came w. his flute. He is happier and more incline to clean it now.

This works on the piccolo but I would prefer some protective sleeving on vinyl rubber coating on the wire rod to protect the instruments finish better.
