While these are marked for pet use, they are human capable just fine. I am sure the marking in the title is for legal purchases. What I received was a standard packing, medically marked, set of sutures. These are pre-sterilized and in individual wrappers already on the needle. These are great for a real trauma kit for the car or hiking. Ideally you would want a medical professional to use this, or someone with lots of practice, but if you are bleeding bad, and help is far away, you are going to be glad you had these around.

braided suture has all those nookes to harbor bacteria so not best for actual suturing but great to practice with and to have a different feel suturing

I ordered the Veterinary Sutures Silk Braided Size 2/0, because we live on a ranch and you never know when you’ll need to patch up an injured animal. Having these on hand ahead of time is critical, because we just can’t go in to our small town and purchase these any time we need them. We have a vet center, but their hours are intermittent. These look really great. I think we have paid quite a bit more for sutures in the past, so this seems like a great deal. I’m very happy with this purchase, and pleased to have them in our first aid bag.

Sterile packaging, cost is on the better side of anything local if I can even get something like this. The two I opened and used on my practice sheet where clean and of good quality silk as best as I can tell. Got these to put in my SHTF kit. Might save a life one day.

I've not used these yet in any real living being, but they're a reasonable and approachable way to practice suturing techniques!

NOT sharp, I opened one pack thinking maybe it was just a faulty needle. Second pack I opened was the same, dull. The silk is sturdy but it's useless if the needle isn't sharp.
