This is exactly what I wanted to have on hand for emergencies.It's a monofilament (non braided) thread, colored violet for ease of seeing it when used internally.It is a thicker 2-0 thread, so it may take a bit more practice if that's not what you're used to.The reverse cutting needle glided well, no issues using for myself on a practice skin.Each suture came in a sterile package. Good purchase, if this is what you need.

Convenient packaging with a drawer like box for your suture cabinet. Packaged in paper then foil then plastic. Foil is a little tricky to open with gloves on.I tried it on my suture board before a real patient. Nice length. Bright purple color. Suture has a fair amount of memory. Needle is nice and sharp. Expiration is 4 years out on my package.

I don't really know how to describe this other than the fact that when you try to use the needle with a needle driver, the needle will twist/roll as it's coming through the skin. It is extremely difficult to get a grip on it. The suture material also coils very easily and will not uncoil. It appears to also stain my silicone models purple. They're OK for practice, but they could be much better.
