I found that my older anchors used in freshwater lakes in the Midwest didn't hold in the sandy bottom of Tampa Bay! I've used it a few times now and always rinse off the saltwater when I return so it hasn't rusted yet. It takes quite a bit of strength to retrieve it. But it does a good job of holding my 20-ft pontoon in place!
