They need rubber rings not plastic. Metal on plastic slides. It's dumb. Put rubber strips instead of plastic and it'll work. It's useless as is. Additionally, the plastic pieces have ridges that push against each other so they can't sit flush. It's just garbage. Clearly the people that made this have never installed it on a bike.

Rubbish. Provided "shims" for smaller diameter handlebars are hard plastic. Once tightened, the supporting bracket does not stay in place and will rotate with little force. Shims should be made of softer material or hard rubber.

This bar extender is okay at best, the metal is very thin and could probably be snapped in half with one hand. But it has functioned as it should. I typically attach my cell phone, a Bluetooth speaker , and or a small secondary light. This is one of the smaller bar extenders available which is what I was going for, but it could offer a little more support. I am constantly finding myself readjusting the mounts position, because it tends to slide around.
