It provides a tough, air dry base with excellent adhesion to intermediate and top coatings. VHT prime coat is specially formulated to fill scratches or pin holes caused by sanding or body fillers to form a strong corrosion barrier. It is a multi-purpose product and can be used on metal, fiberglass, masonry, wood and most plastic surfaces. It is ideal for automotive, marine, aviation, home, farm, and industrial use. Primer will dry in 30 to 45 minutes for sanding purposes.

Light sanding work between coats, this went on smooth and very even. Couldn't even see color or any texture difference to anywhere I fixed with the bondo.

Terrible spray pattern and poor coverage. Holding this can while also holding some other paint can, this primer can is notably lighter. Not sure how much primer is actually in it.

Am building a P51 pedal plane and want the interior realistic. During my 20 years in naval aviation I applied zink chromate to mana repaired airframe components. The VHT SP306 is a trace more yellow than I remeber the military version, but it makes the cockpit of my P51 pedal plane look realistic, covers well and seems yo be wear resistant.

This is absolutely the only white filler primer I have been able to find. VHT is carried by PepBoys, O'Reilly and AutoZone (and others) so I would have preferred to get it locally, but for some reason white was not even a color they could special order in the filler primer, let alone one they kept in stock. Yay for Amazon! It has to ship via Ground, which is a bit lame, but better than not being able to get it at all.The white has a yellowish tint to it, but that is not uncommon in white paints. It has great coverage and a nice texture for filler primer, nothing so gritty I felt I needed to sand it. The spray was nice and even. I did notice some build up on the nozzle, but nothing that couldn't be wiped away and nothing that caused drips. MUCH better spray than some of the Rustoleum cans I have gotten that have been purchased pre-clogged!Overall I am very happy with this paint, and will be ordering more!

Used as a filler/primer on a 2007 odyssey for the black furnishings (by the glass) of the driver and rear sliding door. They were pretty worn out from the sun and I further damaged the surface with some rough sand paper. After some more sanding, used VHT filler/primer to fill the scratches and lay the foundation for some black paint and clear coat. This primer did an excellent job. Had to apply multiple coats, about 5 min apart (So Cal weather however) and do some more sanding with a 400 sand paper and then do some more spraying. At the end, it turned out pretty well. The primer held a couple of layers of black paint and a couple of layers of clear coat.

Loved the look for this on my wheels! It went on perfectly and I did two coats just to make sure I got it all on.. after it sat for a few days I found that my whole car just looked better with this paint and I would do this again for the next car I get! only issue I found with this is that due to all the snow we've had in the past few days, the salt on the roads tore up some of the paint which really sucks. but it doesn't matter since it still looks great from this paint! I would recommend this to anyone!
