For 10 years I went without a battery monitor on my small off grid system... if I had only known. During a battery replacement, I installed this unit and it totally enlightened me as to how my system is performing. I discovered that I actually have enough power to run a full size fridge and never drag my batteries below 80% SOC. Yup, way oversized battery bank but now I know. It's working well, I'll see how it liked the -30 after I open things up in the spring but I'm guessing, it will be fine. It could have a better/more durable mounting system but meh... once it's in place, no difference.

Installation may require some very heavy wiring consistent with your electrical system. I installed units in both the “house” battery circuit (220Ah) and starter battery circuit (100Ah) in my sailboat. Both meters seem to be very sensitive and accurate for both discharge and charge. Once the current shunts were in place the wiring to the remote displays very easy. Instructions were clear.

In my RV I have a battery bank and solar controller. What I don't have is a good way to find out exactly the health of the batteries and this is where the Victron BM700 comes in. Since I do not have a complete Victron system, I wanted something that would do what I wanted without a bunch of extras. Installation is easy, the instructions well written and straight forward.

Pretty easy to install. Buy the dongle for a Bluetooth connection.

Hoped to use this to keep eye on battery life of 2 lifepo4 go power 12v 100ah batteries. It does read the volts but the settings have to be reset constantly which means pushing the little buttons in sequence many times. Sounded great on paper... but too much unneccesary info for a regular everyday person who just wants to know the remaining amps. If you are a gizmo gadget person- then go for it. I will just rely on my charge controller for an accurate and simple read out.

I do a lot of 'dry' camping (boon docking) and I always seem to end up obsessing about the state of my RV Trailer's batteries. I chose this based on other reviews and am very happy with it. Installation was fairly easy, but is ultimately determined by the locations you choose for the shunt and the monitor. In my situation, I had to drill a couple of holes and I'm thinking that's what most RV'ers will need to do too. I elected to also purchase the companion bluetooth dongle. This made the location of the monitor less critical as I can also use my android tablet as a second monitor from anywhere inside (and even outside!) the RV.This monitor (and my android tablet) tell me everything I need to know about the condition of my batteries and the performance of my connected solar charger. It made my first camping experience with these items a whole lot more relaxing. Looking forward to this summer!IMHO this should come as standard equipment in RV's.Highly recommended.

Dient zur Überwachung der Batterien in einem kleinen Boot mit performantem Elektro-Außenbordmotor. Leichtes Setup, exakte Anzeige. Zu beachten ist, daß die Anschlußschrauben am Meß-Shunt vom Kaliber M10 sind, ich mußte Reduziergewinde einsetzen. Wäre schön gewesen, dieses in einem Datenblatt vorher zu sehen.Insgesamt sehr zufrieden.

Excellent metering, allowing me to monitor my lithium car pack that I just put into my CityEl. I am having trouble getting the meter to track all during the charge, and need to synch manually when it is done. However, it then does a good job of following down my charge as I use it on the miles. If the company ever helps me find out why it will not indicate a full charge (tank), when it hits the set voltage, I can come back and move this to 5.

I just installed this in a fiberglass camper, and installation was very easy. I did have to drill one hole for the phone cable to get from my battery box to the interior overhead storage where I decided to install it. The only thing I was upset about is that I thought it came with Bluetooth built in, but now I realize I'm going to have to spend even more money on another module to add bluetooth so we can monitor the battery while driving.It looks really great installed, and I love the extra info I'm getting from this kit so that we know exactly how far down we can run our batteries before making sure to get some more sun or plug in and charge up.

Easy installation, quality monitoring, and lots of detail. Perfect for my T@b travel trailer! Now I really know what is going on with my power management!This has fewer wires to connect than other high quality monitors, which made installation is fairly simple. The information available from the monitor is remarkable and I like that you can connect a Bluetooth or aerial connector to it to dump the data onto your computer for analysis.
