First, the bad. The controller part is too close to the light/stand on the USB cable. It really needs to be 6-12" further down the line towards the plug. It hangs behind the pole, which makes controlling the light source awkward at best and useless most of the time. There's no chance to have it next to a monitor, laptop, etc. unless you want it on all the time or similar behavior."But it's for a cell phone"...now the second problem. The phone holder is good, solid, and grippy. However, the clamp to hold it on the pole? There's a rubber grommet inside...which is too small for the pole. Remove the grommet? Now the clip is completely loose and won't grab the pole.I don't know if that's a packaging error, or a design mistake, but now there's a conflict...can't use it for video conferencing with a computer, can't use it for phone camera...That said, the light itself is great. Several different intensities/hues, so you can really get it where you want to. The base and pole are rock solid; it's powder coated metal with a rubber no-skid bottom, so it's not going anywhere. The pole extends; while it's at a great face level height when in a desk chair, if you want to use it for indirect lighting, it's a great setup.

La estructura es muy sólida, en la parte inferior tiene acolchado que evita un posible rayado de la mesa.La intensidad lumínica es buena y el conjunto se puede posicionar facilmente para que la luz aparezca detrás de un monitor grande.Calidad/precio muy bien. Recomiendo la compra, ha sido una mejora importante en mi imagen durante las videoconferencias.La única pega es que el interruptor está iluminado de continuo si la mantienes enchufada cuando no la usas.

I was pretty impressed by this light stand because the weight of the base made it feel pretty solid and if you were to put some type of computer or laptop, I don't thing it will move or fall over, and if you are using it freestanding with just your phone it feels like it would stay put. I like that it had different color temperatures and brightness settings. It also felt pretty secure even when it was adjusted to it's highest height. I did like that you could position your phone in both vertically and horizontally. It is nice that you can plug in the light and not worry about running out of battery, since this is meant to be used for web meeting and calls, have a battery operated light runs the risk of running out of battery during a call. I will say since I got this via the Vine program 1 for $35.99 is a bit much compared to the current offer of 2 for $49.99, but over not terribly priced for the overall quality.

I was initially skeptical and have used all sorts of jury rigged alternatives - but this really has it all in one package. While I haven't used the cell phone feature, it's great for desktop videoconferencing and travels easily. I like the warm and cool features. It doesn't need the timer feature, but you can easily bypass it.

I was skeptical about this when I ordered it. I expected it would be very lightweight like the popular tripods that are on the market. I wasp pleasantly surprised by this stand and light.The stand has a weighted bottom so it sits stably on any flat surface. The phone holder is adjustable. It can be moved up and down the pole and will rotate so you can film in landscape or portrait. The grip portion of the phone holder is deep enough that it will fit most phone cases so your phone will be safe it does somehow fall. The pole extends to a height that will be appropriate for being sat on a table and is not meant to be set on the floor (like a tripod).The light is easy to install and remove to store. It gives crisp light and I would say is comparable to a ring light in tight shots though I feel like its effectiveness decreases faster at distance than a ring light does. The cord is long enough that reaching an outlet shouldn't be difficult.I am excited to use this for hands free video calling as well as for recording for videos for my small business.

Its a well built device, I am using mostly for having video conferences in my computer, But I am also confident that the cell holder does a good job.I have used the light straight on me, but it tends to be to strong and makes some strong highlight on my face. To solve the situation, I mounted an x-large white calendar behind the monitor and use it as a large reflector. This makes the light on my face look more pleasant... It helps to have a photography background, its all about controlling the light.It would be great to have an option for rechargeable, instead of using a cord and 110v, Just a thought

Good product for the price. Not a ton of lighting options, but enough options for good lighting for videoconferencing. I use it daily.Sturdy and hold the phone well.

Very easy to assemble and operate. Adjustable stand to heighten to desired level for optimal lighting effect. The light has different settings so you can have it set to very bright if you wish. Great price and great product.

The lighting in my office is terrible for video conferencing. Either I am completely washed out or so dark you can't see me. This works like a charm to help provide a soft light that is much more flattering than my other options! Easy to set up and easy to use.
