In the picture provided on Amazon It looks like the cord is short, But it is indeed not short it is a long cord… I didn’t even get to try it out as soon as I opened it I saw the cord and put it right back in the box and returning it.

If you have one of the earlier GoPro Hero cameras (2 to 4), this microphone should work. It allows voice narration from behind the viewfinder rather than in front. The recording, therefore, should be better quality than the built-in microphone. I could not test it, however, because the USB adapter does not work with my gear.The web page and box list other GoPro cameras. Regardless, it does not work with my Hero 7 Black, Canon EOS M50, or small video camera. The adapter is for the older USB mini connector that has wings.Warning: If you also have a misfit, do not force the connector. Save your gear from port destruction.

The mic works just fine, but is it too much to ask for these companies to actually attach the foam wind guard to the mic? I use this on a motor cycle and have to glue the foam to the mic to avoid losing it, like I did with the last microphone. That is a design flaw IMO. Where do you buy a 25 cent replacement foam? You dont, so you end up having to rig something to stop wind noise.Make it clip on or screw on, and charge a couple dollars more.

The microphone has held up better than I expected based on the price, however I have already two different mics based on my own issues. First I slammed it in the door of the truck and 2nd I dropped it in the water while filming a video. However Quality and Value is a 5 Star based on the microphone still working and now I have an extra mic when I slam it in the door again.

I bought it to use in my motorcycle helmet. The mic is quite sensitive so it records my breathing. l had to place it on the side under the pads of the helmet, and there it works great.

HORRIBLE at high speeds on my motorcycle.Sounds really good when youre not moving, but sounds like s*** when it gets to windy or loud.What I did was use the adapter and a different mic and its fine now. Only deserves 2 stars cause the adapter works well and has lasted a while.
