Seems very sturdy and fits on the block correctly. BUT the machine screws included are 15mm, just long enough with the included hardware to go through a layer of fabric. If you're stiffening a bag with a plastic or wood sheet you'll need longer screws. Fortunately they seem like standard M5 screws so that shouldn't be any problem.

I turned an old motorcycle bike I found at Goodwill into a bag for my brompton!!This saved my precisely $5000 in buying Bromptons bags.A few caveats....You might need to provide more structure to the bag to prevent it from sagging. If the bag sags too much it will touch the wheel while you are riding. In a pinch you can do this by using bungees and attaching to your handlebars to lift the bag up. You can also creatively add some wooden planks into the bottom and side of your bag to provide some structure. You can also just attach this clip to a milk crate to create a sturdy cheap rack.Make sure you screw the screws in REAL tight. Bikes get a lot of jiggling and this can back the screw out. Consider using loctite to make sure they don't back themselves out. I lost a few screws and learned the hard way.would buy again and again until Brompton shuts this down.
