This card is an absolute lifesaver, as I am a full-time streamer and my BEACN Mix Create USB panel has been getting buggier and buggier as the software for it improves. It’s not the driver, but the communication between the device itself and the master software that controls (in my case) 7 virtual sound stages. As my Asus Crosshair VIII motherboard only has USB 3.0 and USB 3.2 ports, the sync (despite proper version bus throttling) often gets broken on initiation of the software, and it has reached the point of waiting as long as 20-30 minutes to get past the “we can’t see your panel” message. I’ve tried cables, hubs, software tricks, etc., with no success. What makes it worse is sometimes when sync happened, it would show all channels at peak volume with no control, and the only recourse is to kill it via Task Manager and start over.Even worse, in cases of a system crash (which are uncommon, but can happen), rebooting and telling your audience that you will be silent until the software figures itself out… seriously, no mic, no music, nothing. Turns the BEACN into an active opponent! This card provides 4 independent USB 2.0 controllers on a Moschip MCS9990CV-AA. There are zero hub forwarding delays, and the BEACN synced within 15 seconds. As this is a legacy part, the system UEFI links it as 4 “USB generic controllers” and drivers are not needed on modern Windows. Motherboards with older BIOS may need something, I can’t say for sure. The MCS9990CV-AA is an Asix design and is made for production solutions, so it is a very reliable controller. The Molex socket doesn’t need to be populated for devices needing 2.4A (5V .5W) draw or less, meaning I never connected it on my install. Be aware that this controller provides 5V exclusively, and is not compatible with 9/12V USB devices. It’s odd that I had to go this far for a modern mixing solution, so I’m reluctant to recommend BEACN products except that when they work, they work REALLY REALLY WELL WITH SIMPLE DIALS. But if you got into a situation like I did, a cheap USB card can fix a very expensive (and time consuming) problem!Be aware, the Moschip MCS9901CV-AA chip can be found on cheaper cards in Amazon. This chip only provides 1 controller, and up to 4 hubbed ports. Performance for multiple devices will be impaired as they all share a single 480Mb bus. The preferred chip found here has 4 independent buses as a PCIe 2.0 or better 1X slot can handle it easily with room to spare!
