This red fire engine came well packed and undamaged. The engine is painted a dull matte red to age the look of the truck. It looks good at a distance, but close up there are many mistakes in the painting, at multiple places the red paint overlaps the silver "chrome" paint. One door handle is even painted all red! With this shoddy paint job the truck seems a little pricy.

The truck itself came well packaged and was free of any visible bends or dings. It's made of a sturdy metal material and should hold up fine to general use as decor. Unfortunately, the paint job is pretty low quality. It isn't super noticeable from far away and looks decent at a distance. But if you look at it closely, it's a different story. The paint colors run off from where they should be and the stickers on the doors are crooked. Now, I wasn't expecting a 'perfect' paint job by any means, and the pictures in the product description do show that the paint runs a little. But overall, it looks more messy in person than vintage, so I think they missed the bar on that a little. If they would have taken just a little more time painting this (and I understand it's a hand painted collectible), it would have easily earned five stars. With that said, it's a neat design and I like the old school model fire truck. I don't personally feel the quality meets the price point, but if you're displaying this collectible at a bit of a distance and don't mind a few paint mishaps - it could be for you.
