The product needed to be reformed(Bent) to Allow appropriate setting of the sound peg and a Standard full size violin. Also, the tip needs to be more finely honed. Otherwise, it got the job done.

It does what it is supposed to do. I ordered an inexpensive violin and it arrived with the sound post having fallen inside. This is the only tool to reset it. When it arrived I did put shrinkwrap on the tool to protect the f hole in the violin. Since I had never done this before, it took about six tries but I finally got it. The tool worked great.

The edges of the stool were almost razor sharp and would most likely damage my expensive instrument. I’m going to take some Emory cloth and file to it to make the improvement. Plus it’s very flimsy.

A skilled luthier can use this.I use string to position sound posts.Could be an eating utensil. Still glad to have it.

My step son bought a violin and the sound post was knocked loose. Bought this tool, and was able to reset it with ease after a few YouTube video tutorials.
