These are a good set to have around either for needed single string replacement, or for a whole set. I have them in my case becasue I do not need full set replacements yet. They will get you by on their own merits, or until you can purchase or afford an upgrade. Having spare parts is a good thing. I like that they are stainless steel and nickel wound for playing other styles of fiddle like bluegrass and oldtime. I like having a ball end because I can either use that as a stopper, or take it off and hook it with just the loop, whatever is easier at the time.

I ordered these strings for my violin to replace any that break and they are of good solid quality, comperable to the original strings.

I ordered the full set beginners level strings for my youngest so I figure I give these (full set senior level) a try for my a little more experience violin player (middle son). He seem to like them and both him and the teacher like their sound and material.

Always good to have an extra set of strings in your case for when you need it in a hurry. This set is basic but at a great price. Get a set and keep it in your case, it will not set you back much, but you will be happy to have it when the need arises. Great for beginners/students. Easy to string violin with these and they come numbered.

These strings really livened up my violin. They are loud, crisp, clean & bright. I wish they would have been labeled by the string name rather than numbers but at least there was a chart helping me figure out what each numbered string stood for.

If you buy a cheap violin outfit on Amazon and the strings are factory brand, I recommend getting these Danchet senior level strings because they offer comparable performance to D'addario Prelude strings (which are entry level strings for students), but at half the price (those aren't that expensive to begin with, but if you didn't care about price you wouldn't buy a cheap violin outfit that didn't come with Preludes or Dominants)

These are good quality for a beginner series and first year students. Very nice touch having a sticker tab placed on each string to lessen any confusion for the beginner who is just learning the names of each string and in which order they are placed. Hold tuning and tone well over the length of the finger board. Produce a warm, vibrant tone. My husband sets up violins for beginner students and is very satisfied with their sound and performance.

Good option if you don’t have a ton of money. If you CAN afford better strings, get them. But these are good in a pinch. They are pretty thin sounding. You can definitely tell the difference between these and Dominant strings. But there is also a huge cost difference. There is a very prominent tinny sound, and a bit of squeaking. But like I said, they DO work. And none have broken yet, so that is great!
