They look nice, the ingredients look nice- fresh and non chemical but my cats are not a fan of it. Not sure if it's the smell, the taste, the texture - but they dont really like it. I don't want to take too many stars away since its good, it just not for my cats

Vital Essentials Freeze Dried Raw Beef & Chicken Entree & Mixer Cat Food Soft Nibs, 12 oz - Reviewed February 28, 2025.Oh, meow, where have these beef and chicken nibs been all my nine lives? My fellow feline and I simply can't get enough of these delicious treats. We love them so much that it's an all-out paw battle for each nib, and trust me, the effort is worth it! We've even resorted to trying to open the bag ourselves, so our human had to put it in a drawer out of our reach. Sneaky human. Our human praises these goodies, saying they're packed with high-quality proteins, which must be why they taste so delectable! I overhear them grumbling about the price, but they seem to think it's all worth it for our happiness and health. They treat us with these nibs for being the loving, adorable creatures we are—and we gladly accept! Probably best that we don't munch on them all day, though. Wouldn't want to turn out like that lazy tabby next door. But as treats, they are the absolute kitty jackpot!

These are ok. I tried giving them to my cats during their normal treat time. They kept poking at them and lightly eating them. It took them too long to make a decision as to whether or not they wanted to eat them, and I had to walk out of the room. I came back about 30 minutes later and the few nuggets that I left sit out did get eaten. I am sure other cats might like them more, but mine did not show much interest.

The Vital Essentials freeze-dried Beef & Chicken seems to be a hit-and-miss for my cats. I tried them as a meal substitute or less food, but they seem to just like them as a treat during the day. Plus, they want to play with them before eating them. It's a large resealable bag that will go a long way for casual treats, but the price is a lot for a 12oz bag. This is not to say that they are not made well, are better food to eat, and have more and better ingredients, but I am unsure if it is feasible to use them in the long term due to the cost. But on the other hand, they do like them. They might also be great for picky and older cats who need a different type of food or better nutrition.

I have to give it one star, sorry, sorry, but I tried two times and my cat will not eat this. Why did I not try more than that? Well, because I think my cat knows. They're smart. Yeah, he eats free-feed kibble, good brand, healthy cat food, nothing junky, and then he get canned food twice a day. He's a Birman and he's 10 years old. He doesn't want anything to do with this. After seeing him not want it, because he's a chow hound, I tasted one - that's nothing new for me, I'll try cat and dog food, just outta curiosity. This, I did spit it out.

At Halloween this past year, I found two kittens left right outside my back door. So, we took them in and now, they are part of the family. I ordered these for them to try. What I liked about these:* Freeze dried* Real beef* Packs a protein punch* Made in USA* No additives or fillersCons: A bit on the pricey sideExperience: When I pulled these out, they reminded me of a wine cork. They are light but I did expect that with a freeze dried food. The kittens, which I think are almost six months old, batted them around, for a while until I mashed it for them. Then they smelled it for a bit and then ate it. I also tried it with my outside cats. All of these cats are much older, so they sniffed and then bit in. They seemed to enjoy them more than the inside cats. These are a bit on the pricey side but they are pure protein with no fillers and additives. I like that a lot.

Vital Essentials is a premium pet food brand with quality food ingredients. This freeze dried raw beef & chicken entree nibs are larger than the small sized bits I am used to ordering. You can see from the image showing my thumb nail next to the see-through product label area that the morsels are fairly large. I rehydrate freeze dried morsels for my cat just before feeding time, so it just means I will use less "nibs" for feeding. I like using freeze dried for raw feeding because it is cleaner, helps prevent wasting of food, has better portability and storage-ability. I can tell my cat loves the taste.
