I was excited for these treats as my cats typically enjoy freeze-dried poultry treats. I like that they are 99% turkey meat, bones, and organs, but when they arrived I was very surprised at how enormous the pellets are. These seem better suited to be dog treats versus cat treats. I could break them but I hate having to do that with treats, it’s always a mess with freeze dried ones since they tend to crumble. However, I decided not to actually give them to my cats anyway after looking into the company’s statements regarding avian flu… they do not seem to be taking it very seriously, and do not employ HPP or any other method that would kill the virus… they appear to be completely reliant on the farms they source from just not having any outbreaks. Considering how fatal the avian flu is to cats, and confirmed reports of cats getting the virus from raw cat food, I am not taking any chances.

My cat went absolutely nuts for these raw turkey treats! She’s usually pretty picky and only goes for raw salmon treats, but something about these really hit the spot for her. As soon as I opened the bag, she was sniffing around excitedly, clearly interested in the smell. The ingredients are great—they contain turkey meat, organs, and bones, all formulated specifically for cats, which I love.The only small issue was that my cat had a little trouble figuring out how to eat them at first. The treats come in pellet form, and while she was super intrigued, she just kept sniffing them without actually eating. I found that crushing the pellets made a huge difference, and once they were broken up, she devoured them without hesitation! If you have a cat that’s unsure about the texture, breaking them up might help.Overall, these have been really fun to feed to my cat, and I love that they’re made with high-quality, species-appropriate ingredients. It’s always exciting to find a new treat she enjoys, and these are definitely a winner. If your cat loves raw treats, they’re worth trying but just be prepared to crush them up if needed!

My cats loved these sprinkled on their food, but not really as a stand alone treat. They are really big, so need to be crushed up. Huge sized bag, so they will last a long time!

The Vital Essentials freeze-dried Turkey entree is the best flavor option for my cats. I use this flavor as a treat during the day, which also serves as a cat toy and a healthy snack. They are a lot more nutritious and a better option for your cat, but the price for each 12oz bag is a little steep, in my opinion. So, I use them as healthy treats once in a while. But they do like them, and they work great for my older cat, who is very picky, and I needed a better nutrition option. So if they like them and it's healthier, I guess it's worth it!

My dogs love these but my cat won't touch them. We have a barn cat (part house cat).. and she will not touch these things. They are quite large but easily broken up in to small pieces. I am getting the chicken ones too so maybe she will like them better. The dogs, however, LOVE them.. I would say to try a small bag to ensure the pet likes them first.. They are very light and easy to "chew"/break down as well as soft enough to not worry.

I ordered these 100% freeze-dried turkey nibs for my two large cats, and they like them well enough. However, I wouldn't say they were crazy about them because their interest in them faded over time. They are definitely high quality, and I would like them better if the price were lower.

It probably comes as no surprise to you that my cat goes crazy for this stuff. It's fish meat... of course she would.One warning, the instructions say to wet the pieces. I believe crumbling them up is also acceptable, but you might not want to give your cat a whole piece as I did, without reading the instructions. My cat almost swallowed the thing whole and started gagging. Lesson learned.I would recommend.

These treats are liked by my cat who tends to be pretty picky. There are a little odd in that they remind me of cheese curls in shape and texture. They are quite large too. Doesn't seem to matter as she finishes them off every single time I feed them to her. The package is quite large, so this treat lasts awhile.
