The angle adjustment made my 32 inches screen seat perfectly under my cabinet

The settings, height, depth can be adjusted. But you have to screw into place. It isn’t easily adjustable.

As a digital artist I needed a stand that could hold my drawing display monitor and adjust to various angles AND rotate from landscape to portrait mode. This stand does exactly that and it raises my monitor to a comfortable viewing height when used as a standard monitor. While reading reviews I had a hard time finding out if it does rotate. After assembling it and removing one screw, IT DOES IN FACT ROTATE FROM LANDSCAPE TO PORTRAIT MODE. I also appreciate the clean aesthetic. It is also solidly built out of metal, not plastic. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. A lot of reviews under here clearly did not.It does turn 90 degrees but you have to take out a screw from the back. The instructions tell you this.It does support lighter monitors, but you have to crank the tension clockwise waaaay down. Way more than you'll think necessary. Keep going, you will get it to work. This thing is pretty sturdy and works excellent for a drawing tablet. Goes as flat as I need it to to draw. If you have a standing desk on carpet it will wobble, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Every monitor arm wobbles on a standing desk on carpet. Clamped-on arms wobble much more than this Vivo tabletop arm.

Pros:Sturdy for a desktop stand that is supporting the weight and size of a new Apple Studio Display. The side-to-side rotation is smooth, steady and goes to almost 45 degrees either direction. The tilt of the screen up or down is smooth and steady. Given its limitation in moving the height of the screen up and down (see below), the downward tilt is probably overkill because the screen will never go high enough to require it.Cons:Contrary to what Vivo Customer Service told me when I called to ask if this stand would allow my Apple Studio Display to rotate 90 degrees (from landscape to portrait and back) WITHOUT removing any screws, it CANNOT (I even waited for them to confirm the answer with their technical specs department). The upper height is very limited and I should have picked up on that from the specs in the description (see photos above). The max height of the stand is 12" from the center of the VESA plate to the top of the desk. This limitation in height also prevents a 90 degree rotation for a monitor my size because the arm could not raise up high enough for my monitor to clear the desk if you tried to rotate it.Poor instructions. Thank goodness for the helpful tips that others have posted on adjusting the tension for raising and lowering the screen because they were very helpful.Tips:The instructions and other reviewers mention that the installation is a two-person job at certain steps, and I agree. However I assembled it by myself while sitting on a thick carpet on the floor and I protected the front of my screen, just in case. It was a gymnastic event to attach the screws and washers thru the bracket into the VESA plate while holding up the monitor at an angle securely. I then placed the screen face down on the floor and balanced the bracket assembly between my knees while I adjusted the tension, based on some of the unexpected responses other reviewers have described with the piston.I'm keeping it after all of this because I have not found a sturdy desk top stand for a new Apple Studio Display that offers the side-to-side rotation + up/down tilt of the screen + the ability to rotate the screen between landscape and portrait orientations without removing screws. If anyone finds this unicorn stand, I would appreciate hearing about it!!

Claim is that the screen will rotate. Problem is that it only rotates a few degrees and not far enough for portrait mode — needs to rotate 90° for that. Since my Apple Studio Monitor supports both landscape and portrait modes, I need to return this — which is too bad.Otherwise, this is a great, sturdy, desktop-stand (no clamp needed) VESA mount with plenty of heft. You are highly unlikely to knock your monitor over accidentally. It's easy to assemble and has a wide range of adjustment for the weight of the monitor. If it could support both portrait and landscape mode, I would give it 6 out of 5 stars but you have to chose one mode or the other in advance, darn it.

If you have a cintiq 16 and considering to buy this stand, read everything, you'll thank me !So I have a dual monitor set up with a 16' cintiq on the left and a 32' monitor on the right, and this arm stand is just amazing and really does what I was expecting. There are very few tricky cons I'll talk about but the stand was not originally made for a cintiq, so it's expected. The good part is that I can just push and pull the whole stand in front of me or far from me whenever I need to do draw or if I just want it as a secondary monitor near my biggest one. When I'm using it for drawing, there is room under my cintiq, so I can fit my keyboard without any placement issue while drawing, compare to the original wacom stand. Since it has an arm, i can really adjust the angle and height of my cintiq with accuracy, and speaking of height I found it actually way better to have the possibility to pull the cintiq just in front of you so you can naturally keep a good posture while drawing, so no back problems ! On the top of that, it's very sturdy and doesnt jiggle while you draw, you can also ajust the firmness however you like. Now for the bad stuff : The stand is very heavy so it's not super convenient to move the whole thing everytime from close to far on the desk area, I'll try to put some little metal stickers wheels under the stand to see if it can help with this. Then another problem is that the screws to fix the monitor on the VESA are way to long for a cintiq and you'll damage and break your cintiq if you tighten the screws too much, the best solution for this would simply be to have the good size screws. But if you don't have that and you are down to do a bit of DIY like I did, you can try to place a bunch of metal rings in the scew in the free space between the cintiq and the VESA, And I've also insert a square of 1 cm thick foam on the middle part, so the foam is compressed between the cintiq and the VESA, it adds some sturdiness and some shock absorbtion at the same time.

The review below was for an older version of this product. The current version is not as good. The new version does not lift the monitor as high as the old one and when you try to rotate the monitor to portrait orientation the monitor hits the monitor base.-----------------------------This worked very well for me. The cables management could have been easier to put together, but after setting it up I doubt I will have to mess with the cables very often. I bought this so that I could have one of my monitors vertical. But I like it so much I am getting a second one so that I can adjust the height of my main (horizontal) monitor. The monitor position, tilt, and rotation on this mount adjusts with a little pressure from my hand but otherwise it stays where you put it. And the base is flat so you can put things on it, like your glasses that you are always loosing. Good sturdy product.
