For my Subaru transmission fluid replacement, I needed to push 8 quarts of fluid once the CVT transmission reached 95 degrees Farenheit, and could only add until it reached 113 degrees. I did the procedure last with a syringe style dispenser, which took too much time and made too much of a mess. This time, I filled the pump's tank with roughly the same amount of fluid that I had drained. Then I started the engine, and warmed up the transmission to 95, and started filling it with this pump quickly so when all the fluid was transferred, the temp was reading 96 and there was no mess all over the floor. I was also able to return the small excess fluid left in the tank back in the original bottle to save it for the future. Highly recommend it.

Based on first impressions I'd anticipated giving this a great review. Frankly the construction of the fluid tank is impressively durable for a budget product. Unfortunately, it ended up giving me quite a bit of trouble. The first issue was that the lid was screwed on so tight it literally required two long pry-bars (one for the tank, one for the cap) to dislodge. I initially thought it had been glued on or was not supposed to be removable, but it was just absurdly tight. The second, much larger issue was that the air inlet valve (actuated by the black handle on top of the tank) worked about five times before it started leaking air into the tank nonstop. I took it all apart to try to fix the issue. I found an O-ring on the air valve which appeared to be dislocated. I put it back together, it worked once or twice, then it started leaking again. Turned out the O-ring was far too small for the application, and kept getting pushed out of its groove. I ended up replacing the o-ring with a larger square profile one, as pictured. Problem solved. Seems to be just a bad design as opposed to a faulty part.Since it should not be expected for a customer to diagnose and re-engineer a brand new product for it to work I've removed two stars. Simply put, this item malfunctions straight out of the box, so I really can't recommend it unless you love tinkering. It's a shame because as was said, the rest of the product seems to be very durably constructed. The adapter fittings are nice too, and it's super handy how it can both extract and discharge fluid.

This is a review for VIVOHOME Pneumatic Transmission Fluid Pump with 15PCS ATF Adapters, 10L Automatic Fluid Transfer Pump Kit, 2.6 Gallon Oil Transfer Pump for ATF Refills. This is a great tool to have to present less of a possible of risking a major fluid spill and clean up. It also comes with a number of adapters for many different vehicles. The machine is made to be as easy as possible for anyone, from mechanic to DIYer. The parts seem very durable to made to a high level of precision. The case is okay but given the degree that they worked to design and manufacture the components of the kit, they did an extremely poor job on the case. It uses a plastic flap; I won’t call it a hinge. It will quickly, after use, break and make the case useless. You will then only be able to store it flat and risk components being lost.
