友人からビクセン製の30年前の古い赤道儀を譲り受けましたが、アイピースが31.7ｍｍ、ところがCMOSカメラの接続部は36.4ｍｍ。古いものでしたので、諦めつつアマゾンで検索すると、あった！しかもビクセンブランド。おかげで古い望遠鏡が蘇りました。

Esta pieza la compré para actualizar oculares de 0.96” a 1.25” de un viejo telescopio reflector Vixen, y es exactamente lo que necesitaba. Excelente producto, aunque un poco tardado el envío por culpa de Correos de México.

Wer ein altes Vixen Teleskop hat kennt ja den Adapter Wahnsinn, da passt einfach nichts, 1,25 Zoll Okulare sind zu groß, m42 Gewinde gehen auch nicht, bei mir wurde ein 1 Zoll auf 1,25 Zoll Adapter verwendet, der passt aber nicht in die Okularhülse, die ist kleiner als 1 Zoll, sondern nur auf das Zenitprisma, das hat 1 Zoll damit wird die Fokuslänge zum Fotografieren aber zu lang. Nach langer Recherche habe ich diesen Adapter gefunden, passt in den Originalring des ersten Reduziergewindes am Teleskop und ab jetzt sind alle 1,25 Zoll Zubehörteile passend. Negativ ist der winzige Durchmesser der Feststellschraube, die gerne mal abbricht, das ist aber Vixen-Style.

This Vixen Visual Back is perfect for converting older .965 diameter telescope eyepiece holders to the now standard 1.25". Screw the old one off and screw this one on, and your done.

Shipped a little faster than advertised Well made. I took a gamble on this fitting an unknown focuser and it did not. Its ok as I will fing a use for it.

This product converts older compatible telescopes that take .965 inch diagonals to a 1.25 diagonal capable of using modern eyepieces. Vixen is a very old and trusted name in the telescope industry.

This is a well made product at a reasonable price. I bought it to replace the .965 eyepiece holder on an old Swift Aerolite 859 telescope as someone recommended in a forum discussion. [...] The resulting mash-up works nicely.

Exactly what was needed to properly use 1.25 eyepieces in a Vixen Space Arrow that had .965 size originally.Fit fine.Now the more common and newer 1.25 eyepieces can give better results with less effort and expense than finding really good (but often rare and expensive) .965 eyepieces.Plan to order some more for other scopes.Note the scope must be one that has the larger size focuser tube but was shipped with smaller eyepiece holder as an "economy" ,this part will not magically enlarge a small tube.
