This Review is for the VIXI "RAW PUERH TEA".For now, I'm going to give this 5-STARS, in spite of NOT having tried it, yet. However, I reserve the right to UPDATE my Rating, after I do a 3-Way Tasting, of VIXI's RAW, RIPE, and Oolong Teas, the details of which are below...MFG: 07.10.24 EXP: 07.10.27 for RAW Sheng Puerh Tea is too early and short, and sounds more like RIPE Puerh Tea, but the Label says "RAW PUERH TEA" which does not make sense. RAW Puerh is normally not even drinkable before it's AT LEAST 3 to 5 Years Old, and even that would be a Very "Young" Raw Puerh Tea. RAW Puerh Tea usually is not ready to drink, until it's more like 8 to 10 years old, and RAW Puerh Teas actually get BETTER with age... and the Longer the Better, getting more expensive as it gets Older, IF it's been Properly Stored (Dry, Cool, Dark... preferably Atmospheric Controlled... with absolutely NO Odors, that Ruins the Tea). Improperly Stored RAW Puerh Teas can easily pick up Bad Odors, that many people say smells like FISH, or CHEMICALS... and RUINED. I'm not saying this has that issue, but I am questioning the very SHORT 3-year Drinking Life... like a GREEN Tea, which is Oxydized, and begins to "Go Bad", and has a short finite life, before becoming "STALE". Raw Puerh Teas are FERMENTED. Cooked Puerh Teas are processed completely differently, only very recently developed in the 1970's, where it's put into a big pile, layed out flat, then sprayed with water, covered by a large ground cloth, and allowed to Ferment, with the "PILE" Temperature being very closely monitored. NOTHING like Raw Puerh Tea processing. So, folks, WHICH IS THIS... ? RAW or COOKED Puerh Tea... ???I'm going to order the VIXI Puerh Tea BRICKS, and then compare that (which should be the COOKED Puerh Tea), to this VIXI RAW Puerh Tea, AND their Old Trees VIXI Oolong Loose Leaf Tea (which I also just gotten one), in a Simultaneous Comparison Tasting of all three teas, to see what exactly is in each box, regardless of it's LABEL. Standby for an UPDATE.

I was so glad to find yellow tea to try. I don't know how close to standard this is, but it's great, and I'm curious about the other VIXI offerings now. There are pretty large, good-looking leaf pieces in the bags, which are well packed. This is a nice, mellow tea with a comforting flavor. I'm afraid to say it like this, but at first, it reminded me of funky, low-quality green tea, but as I got used to the flavor, I realized yellow tea has a nice aroma of its own. The wet leaves smell amazing! One cup goes by fast and I usually want a second. This is one I'll want to have on hand.

this puerh has been a super good find. ive tried the green tea from vixi, oolong, and black tea as well. this puerh is surprisingly one of the best from this company, it doesn't advertise it, but I believe this is a ripe puerh. will try the raw next. the flavor is very malty, malty is a very good way to describe it, with some sweetness. its very comforting and delicious for every infusion, the flavor really carries through many infusions. I also really like the oolong. its very charcoal roasted which was surprising to me at first, but now its become the closest tea ive ever found to remind me of coffee. I love both the oolong and this puerh. the green is a bit more intense, hard to describe, definitely carries that smoked sausage type of flavor of assamica wild tea trees that they have in Vietnam. its also got that minty cooling feeling in the green version of these teas. but oolong and puerh are my two favorites from this company. the black is a great black tea also, its also malty, but the black and puerh are malty in different ways. this puerh is sweeter in my opinion. highly recommend. I find these teas to be very nice quality for the price point they are selling at here. very glad to have found this.

I have tried various types of tea such as green tea, oolong tea, and black tea. However, this is my first time trying yellow tea. I really like the aroma of this tea as I steep the tea bag in my cup of water. The taste of this golden tea is quite smooth and delicious. I feel like it's a blend of green tea and black tea, and the best part is that it's not too bitter. Additionally, I followed the instructions in the image and found that the taste was still quite good in the second steeping.I'm also quite impressed with the quality of the packaging, as they use high-quality paper and the colors are beautiful.Overall, I really like this Vietnamese tea.

There is much to appreciate about VIXI Vietnam Mountain Yellow Tea, not the least of which is there are 100 bags in the box (the teabags arrive sealed inside a plasti-foil pouch inside the box). The tea has an grassy aroma and a taste similar to green tea. But it leans a bit toward the edge of black tea. Also, it is a bit weaker than black tea so can be made stronger without fear of bitterness. The bags are finely constructed but have no strings or paper tabs. You'll need a spoon to lift the bag from the cup.Recommended.
