OPERATION
For general nitrogen purge applications,
Purge regulator connected directly to HVAC equipment:
1. Turn flow control knob to OFF. For safety, with outlet/use port facing away from you, very slowly turn cylinder valve (open/close) knob counterclockwise approximately % turns to open.
2. Connect non-pressurized refrigerant charge and test hoses between the regulator outlet and the service valve port on the HVAC unit
3. To purge, turn knob to PRG position.To weld, turn knob to BRZ position.To pressurize for leak testing, turn flow control knob to TST position
4. Leak check welded joints.
5. Stop nitrogen flow, turn knob to OFF position
6. Turn cylinder valve clockwise to close
7. Slowly disconnect refrigerant and charge test hoses
8. Relieve any remaining pressure in the purge regulator by setting the flow control knob to any flow position (BRZ, PRG, or TST).
