The prefilter fit the Donaldson Powercore filter without any issues. Definity worth it if you chose to run the snorkel pipe. The Frogskin over the air inlet could help also.

Nice pre-filter however, there isn't a logo like the pictures have. Pretty disappointed that at this price it doesn't even say who makes the filter.

I’ve got a 2009 Silverado that’s lifted and have had the Volant system on it for over 4 years. I was checking my filter after it had rained for a few days and noticed it was wet. Filter is too expensive to be getting wet. Guess it has been getting wet since I’ve put it on but never thought to check it. Bought a new filter and had to get this to protect against water. Seems to work but kinda expensive for what it is. Check your filter out after it rains to make sure it’s not getting wet!

I was skeptical of this filter/prefilter setup. I used it on my Ford truck with a 12v Cummins installed, and couldn't be happier. Seems to flow much more air than my oiled filter, without the mess. I picked up a little more performance, and a lot less maintenance as this filter and prefilter is supposed to last 100k. I can see the prefilter makes the Donaldson main filter last much longer, as I'm always seeing dirt on it instead of the main filter.
