I really like this product. It contained lots of seeds, dried pasta, even cinnamon sticks and dried fruit. My only concern it also contained dried lentils, and peas. Which my parrots tried to put in their water to soften up. I usually stay away from uncooked dried beans. But it was definitely a good product for my african grays.

My African Grey loves this food. I alternate this seed based formula with her regular Harrison's kibble. She is much more excited by the Volkman's and eagerly digs in. Co and I recommend it.

I really like the variety of seed, pasta, cinnamon sticks, star spice, so much extra that I’ve never seen in any other bird seed. Great quality seed. I’m sold now going to always purchase

As long-time owners of an African Grey Parrot and also a Macaw, we have used a variety of foods for our birds. We have always tried to find good value, but not at the expense of poor quality, or food that our birds don't seem to relish. Over years, we've tried many different food blends, but after finding and first using the Volkman Avian Science Foods some three years ago, we have used no other blended food. Our African Grey gets a combination of this African Grey food and sunflower seeds, and our Macaw gets a combination of the the Volkman Macaw food and pistachios. Both birds enjoy the food and maintain great appearance and health.This is not inexpensive food--and at times it can be limited supply. We have used three different suppliers over time (including Amazon), because it is not always consistently in stock at all places. I would welcome a little lower price--more in line with other more common foods--but they simply don't match the quality or are as well-liked by our birds, so I pony up the money to buy the Volkman. I have found this food to be consistently fresh and the same high-quality blend, sack after sack. All-in-all, based on our experience I can highly recommend this food for your parrots; I think it's worth the extra challenge and cost to locate and buy.

I have been using another name brand for we few years that is a few dollars less and now it is not available anymore. I did a lot of research and tripped over great reviews of your product. I decided to spend four dollars more a bag due to the better product listed on the back. I was expecting a ton of sunflower seeds and peanuts like usual, but HOLY MOLY!!!!! This bag is full of vitamins and fruit and cinnamon sticks! My African Grey LOVES IT!!!! I thought the change would be difficult, I have no doubt that this will be easy and a step to moving to pellet over time. I really, really wish I found you sooner! I will keep you updated on the bag and how he likes it. 😉 The only downfall is the high price. I think I might be able to find the same quality for less price. I will definitely update soon!!! 😄😄😄😄😄😄UPDATE: My bird can’t get enough of this food and I would recommend it to anyone. His feathers look better and he barely wastes. Buy it, it’s worth the money!!!
